Not sure what you are referring to when you say "being badgered" but I'll take your word for it, there's been alot of emotion around here.
In this situation, i've called out facts in relation to an incredibly active forum member who has promoted themselves as being "open minded " on the topic. Except, there is no open mindedness, they have no facts to back up their theories and they cannot answer any questions in what is a civil discussion... Meanwhile they continue to assassinate the character of our former CEO and his family, accusing them of being criminals and ripping the west tigers off - again with no evidence.
This isn't people "randomly picking on poor magpies supporters".. HBG sacked 4 directors after our best season on and off the field in god knows how long... They reinstated them a week later.. surely you can see the problem here, right?
The funny thing is that with the right evidence, I would happily turn around and become an HBG advocate.. I don't dislike them for the sake of disliking them. There's nothing more behind it from me.. I have given him so many chances to enter a dialogue and he refuses to engage, but will continue the PR spin on the rest of the forum. I have no choice but to come to the conclusion that he must be connected to HBG in some shape or form, there's no other logical explanation for persistent PR spin and evading the questions posed. It's right out of the politicians handbook

What really upsets me about all this is that they are very willing to destroy all of it to bring back the Magpies. I am certain these guys are pissed off because most nrl supporters call them the Tigers. They do not care if they destroy it and will be very happy in reserve grade holding hands and reliving some very brief and sporadic highlights from thier childhood.

You would of thought when they received the disappointment from PVL that their precious magpies are never coming back to 1st grade they would of said F this we might as well sell but no we couldn't be that lucky.

Anyone paying attention would know that I've not tried to prove anything to be true & in fact have questioned the entire narrative.
You, however, are a beaming example of the loudest group-think holds sway.
Nothing has been proven. Go ahead- tell me HBG have a 'proven record of failure' or some-such as your evidence & continue believing yourself.
And you are way off. Never supported the Magpies in my life.
This is what I do not, cannot, understand. If they are still suffering such pain and anguish from the merger even with everyone saying the Wests part of Wests Magpies for the last 26 years (which is ok, but not the tigers part of Balmain Tigers 🤔), why are they are happy to put another generation of supporters through the same? I don't get it. As a kid, I had a pretty rough/violent upbringing. I did not subject my kids to the same. I did not want them to feel that pain and trauma, so I just can't understand why there is a group of supporters who would want that.

My boss recently was the only person who was disagreeing with a way forward. He actually said "I'm the only one on this side of the argument so I can see that I must be in the way of progress, so I'll trust your judgement." It was very refreshing to hear. But these guys are too stubborn and pig headed to get out of the way. I hate to use quotes from tv shows but they "would watch the world burn to be King of the ashes."

Indoctrinating them into supporting a club that hasn’t been in first grade for over 25 years is the bigger issue imo. It’s just sad. That’s the most fitting word i can think of. You just know these idiots would send them to school with Magpies gear. And knowing what kids are like, you know they would get sideways glances at an old absolute minimum for wearing gear of a club that disappeared 20 years before they were born and have no concept of.
Recent statements are all about supporting Wests Tigers.
The narrative that it’s all about the Magpies is an agenda being pushed by trouble makers who just want to cause division.
Wanting our NSW Cup feeder team to remain unchanged as Wests Magpies has no bearing on our NRL team and does not mean Wests Tigers are not being fully supported at NRL level.
The reality is by 2030 at the latest, if not earlier our NSW Cup feeder team will be known as Wests Tigers.
So if certain people cannot handle the name of our NSW Cup feeder team remaining unchanged for another couple of years, they are not true supporters and clearly have an agenda.
We didn’t see Roosters and Sharks fans kicking and screaming when their NSW Cup feeder team was or is Newtown Jets.

I couldn’t care less about NSW Cup. Whether it’s the Magpies, or WT’s, I’ll pay the same amount of attention to them (zero). Regarding them coming back to first grade, for the 87th time, it’s not happening. Whether HBG want that or not. And it’s definitely not worth getting triggered over cos a few old Magpie dinosaur supporters want. They are at the bottom of the barrel as far as relevance goes.
