Indentured servants earning millions …where do I sign up ?

No one is forcing anybody to play NRL …they could always get a nine to five job instead like the rest of us

Maybe you have an argument with College sports,,,,( previously …they get paid now), but Professional Sports are primarily about the fans … they don’t exist otherwise ., and the lack of transparency is a joke in my view
I agree with you in theory. But I don't see what is to be gained if we were given all the salaries.

All that would happen is fans would see players not playing to their price tag and blame them for losses. This happens already. Or underpaid players would see what the teammates or opponents earn and demand pay rises. Again, this happens already. Finally, we would look at the Broncos having almost a $million more TPAs than everyone else and say that's why their successful and were not. Guess what, this happens already.

I would have re-signed him by now ..gotta feeling he might be another one to leave …although I haven’t heard any rumours ,,,
I assume he would be keen to see where he fits in and how we go as a team this year, before he makes a decision ?
If he’s a regular starter and we show good improvement I don’t think he would be looking to leave.

Yeah I think KPP will be disappointing for some. The expectation around him becoming a totally different player with us is a bit optimistic.

Even in a structure that supposedly limits your impact, there are still opportunities to show glimpses of what you're capable of over the season and to me he is not going to move the dial.
Statistically, He outperformed every single one of our forwards other than May last season. So even if he doesn't improve he's already A far superior addition of he maintains his levels. Given more freedom to play he can only get better

My point is that the Player's Association would block it and the courts would never enforce it

A lot of people misunderstand KPP. He is not a strike weapon or try scoring machine. He is a work horse who makes lots of tackles and you can run structures around him. He does have a great offload which was underutilised at Newcastle but that's about it for higher ceiling to unlock.

He will be sneaky good for us by hopefully securing our leaky right edge.

Samuela Fainu is the strike weapon who will have a lot of points come around him.

I can see the benefit of having a 6ft 6in inspector gadget in defence.

The ability to cover space in the defensive line is definitely a bonus.

Play them both as attacking strike weapons .. one left and the other on the right .. makes the team twice as dangerous with a pair tall straight running 2nd rowers close to the line .. !!

He's able to both wrap up the ball in defence (something most of our players struggle with) and to offload at will in attack if the defence isn't all over him.

Add that to his high tackle efficiency and solid output in attack and he should be a fine addition.

If Bula follows him around the field he could make a hundred line breaks this season

We're still chipping in. We're just not paying as much as before

Souths wanted him for longer than the initial one season agreement (2025) where the tigers contributed to his salary.

As part of this transfer, he was released from the remainder of his contract with Wests Tigers to sign a new contract with Souths.

I posted a link to the South Sydney website in a previous reply to this.

At least now I know who is Wong...
