He is just one of many that hate me. Because they view everything through the lens of their former club they think everyone else is doing the same.that guy that stalks you , ANZ, put you up for nomination
the constantly flippant ,will never be WesstsTigers
Great synopsis. He is just one of many that hate me. Because they view everything through the lens of their former club they think everyone else is doing the same.
They don't believe there are genuine Wests Tigers fans.
Great synopsis.
I can understand their position though too.
They simply feel the same way about wests magpies as we do the wests tigers.
My understanding is Wests Campbelltown fund the Wests Magpies junior reps as they refused to help fund Wests Tigers. It will be great to be Wests Tigers in all three top grades shortly.
Out of curiosity, who funds the Wests ball and Matt's side, is it Wests Ashfield or Campbelltown? I know ctown dropped out of WT ownership, but juniors in their area you'd think they'd be involved.
What if you just don’t give a toss about reserve grade in general?Wests Tigers is the NRL side that represents Wests Magpies Pty Ltd, the owner of Wests Tigers.
Only an idiot would not support the parent team.
I don't think any Wests Tigers fans would stop supporting reserve grade because of a name, just think it's time they were called Wests Tigers right through the grades that's the name of the club isn't.I don't see the point of this thread. It'd be pretty weird if any of us didn't support our reserve grade side. I was a Balmain Tigers supporter but it doesn't stop me rooting for Wests in KOE. I used to like all the foundation clubs.
Absolutely. Good point.I don't think any Wests Tigers fans would stop supporting reserve grade because of a name, just think it's time they were called Wests Tigers right through the grades that's the name of the club isn't.
It's 26 years now, time to let the old clubs go, all the hanging on has just caused fighting anyhow, another decade and supporters couldn't give a rats about Wests/Balmain.
Get our pathways right and there's no reason it won't happen in time Suzie, our junior base boasts similar numbers. My friend follows the panthers. I wish our teams looked like this, with Wests Tigers top to bottom
Haha good day at the office for penrith...what an organisationMy friend follows the panthers. I wish our teams looked like this, with Wests Tigers top to bottom
It helps that they've now benefitted from two significant ground upgrades in a relative short space of time (great to be in a swinging seat 😉) thanks to the taxpayer.Haha good day at the office for penrith...what an organisation
Agree, but the only hope for it is to be a shared facility with Bulldogs as much as I dislike the thought. I really wish the NRL would provide some guidance as to the geographic Sydney basin stadiums future wishes. We already have guidance / policy on ground requirements but where and how the grounds are situated etc is a big blank. We have great stadiums for Penrith (and it's getting better for a political sweetener), Parramatta and Moore Park. Olympic Park is just not working and needs sorting and would somewhat compete with Parramatta. The other grounds at Kogarah, Cronulla, Manly, Bankstown, Leichhardt and Campbelltown are falling behind and 'putting lipstick on a pig' a la Leichhardt and Campbelltown is not really future proofing. It helps that they've now benefitted from two significant ground upgrades in a relative short space of time (great to be in a swinging seat 😉) thanks to the taxpayer.
Campbelltown couldn't even get an upgrade as good as Penrith's previous one to the current one getting built, Cambo's last 'upgrade' was like putting lipstick on a pig.
The South West needs a 25 to 30 thousand seat rectangular stadium with plenty of undercover seating, be it built at Leumeah, Liverpool, Bradfield/Oran Park anywhere not too close to Bulldogs territory.
The AFL will flood the area, creating new clubs & growing the established ones. The Wests Tigers need to show an even bigger commitment to the region. Having a 25,000 crowd or more at well covered stadium (Campbelltown Southerlies in June & July and Westerlies in August are absolutely frigid 🥶) would encourage more families, thus more kids, potential juniors to games and I believe take the club to a whole new level.
The population of the Macarthur will soon dwarf the population of the Nepean in 5 - 10 years time.
Building a world class stadium near Australia's most modern airport in what is to become the newest major city in the nation NOW makes more sense as it will drive new investment, new jobs, it'll help the economy of Greater Western Sydney and really put it on the map rather than wait until site & logistics options etc get fewer & fewer.
