In 2025, he and Terrell were in the top 3 starting prop combinations early in the season. Then he got injured. It took him a long time to bounce back from that

If he leaves , our pack which is short of grunt , will be very poor with him leaving, I was hoping he would have got his brother to come to the tigers

I could live with Fonua going if we got Lisati in return. Lisati is 🔫 has all the right attributes to be a star in the NRL. Reminds me a little of Eli Katoa in the way he hits the line.

And play him where? We have KPP and Samuela in the backrow. I dont think any of those 3 are modern day 13s.

Tend to agree mate, if he was a prop with the same ability then a swap would work, we are already weak in the hard running prop area.
I don't like it and before anyone says move Sam to the middle, it's not guaranteed to work.
think Fonua said april/may that he wanted to resign -if the money was right , but the club is focused about getting other deals done above him and he will have to wait his turn.
Certainly hasn't earned a mega deal yet - ive never been his no:1 fan .He only stepped it up 2nd halve with a contract pending

Gives us a genuine 3rd drop backrow option & much cheaper than Fonua to use the rest $$ for a genuine starting middle w May
Don’t wanna lose Fonua he’s a gun but his best is off the bench

I cant imagine lisati comes cheap. He was in great form last year.
I'm not sure I'd say just going through the motions but he is yet to really kick on as I've been expecting. I want him retained as i think he is quite important to our squad balance as he is about our only genuine 'a' runner. Yet to improve on the other side of the ball as I'd have hoped. I am starting to wonder if that is a Fonua issue or a player development issue. He seems to get himself in position to tackle but often fails to execute. I think he will become the whole package one day. I just hope it is one day soon and at this club.

His defence is really poor all round. He can arm grab, he can be stepped, and when he does make a good tackle his contact is what i would call soft for a front rower. I agree with you, although im a little harsher.
He has so much talent, but he just cant improve his defence at the moment
Fanua Pole is 💯 a must retain.
Iam certain that Samuel did mention that he would like to play in middle
Gee stefano is chasing a premiership, storm , roooters , who will be next , he comes across as a real rat

The journeyman won't get one at the Roosters I think next club up will be the Warriors after the Roosters

Samuela, Terrell, Pole and Twal.. all in middle rotation.. thats quite mouth watering
I would love to see Samuela get his hands on the ball alot more than he does at the moment.. but could he handle the workload?
Warriors were woeful in the finals, both loses at their home ground (country), despite being close to the best team all season. They’ve had such good rosters over many years and still can’t crack it. Some teams will never win it.
He plays for 80 minutes, but he would need to work into it , with the four of them they could rotate
