2012-2013 Football (Sokkah) Thread

Finally it looks like the final decision will be made about the Olympic Stadium and the Hammers look like they will get the nod

Good decision in my opinion , they have sold out Upton Park every game this season Just got to hope that Gold and Sullivan agree to the profit share

The Manchester Derby - What a game! They turned on a cracker.
The City crowd - What a shame! Well, the idiot in the stupid hat that ran onto the field is shameful, as were the cretins throwing coins that caused this:

And what a champion is Joe Hart. The winning goal has just gone into his net yet he still protects an opposition player from a lunatic pitch invader.

Missed the game, will be looking forward to the replay.

So much for that flash in the pan Mancini's comment on concentrating on the Premier League now they're out of the Champions League.

Saw that Ferdinand thing live, none of us saw the coin hit him and we thought he hit himself and cracked up laughing. When we saw the gash obviously we realised what happened. Was a decent game, highlight for me was the tosser Nasri hiding behind the wall on RVP's free kick and sticking out his foot to deflect it in. Trophy is pretty much United's to lose from here.

Congrats to Liverpool and Chris Thought even though 2 of our goals were from a iffy penalty and Gerrard planting it in our goal that we were in control until Diame tore his hammy and then we folded like a deck of cards conceding twice in 3 minutes

This season is starting to look grim with a lot of our names on a long injury list with long term injuries

Be interesting to see how much tix go for, they could probably charge whatever they liked and theyd fill ANZ you reckon???

Rio only got that soft when he joined Man U If he was still with West Ham he would of caught them in his teeth :roll

Allegedly bringing all the names this time too.

The A-League all stars will basically be a combination of the Mariners and Adelaide United, plus Heskey, Del Piero and maybe Rojas.

jUST HEARD AFTER POSTING THE TIX PRICES, CANT RECALL EM ALL BUT THEY SEEMED QUITE REASONABLE, CHEAPEST i THINK WAS $65….seemed to be a lot of obstructed view categorys for some reason.....never heard of that at ANZ
I hear EPL tix are outrageously priced...good to hear they within reach, cheaper than some Origin cat.s I think

They will bring all the big names, but they won't all play 90\. Whilst Man U won't want to risk anyone, they know it is an exhibition match and they have a duty to the fans to put a decent side on the pitch. I would imagine the likes of Rooney and Van Persie will play half games.

went to wanderers v roar and really enjoyed the game, especially the second half. halloran of the roar is one to watch for the future. good atmosphere and crowd at the ground considering how bloody cold it was. should be a good one this weekend wsw v syd fc

I heard on Fox Sports yesterday that they are putting in additional seating at ANZ for the game. That could explain the obstructed view category.

Obstructed categories are around the fence line. Goal line area, probably loads of sideline advertising boards and the technical area for both sides.

EPL tickets aren't all that outrageous for regulars given the supply and demand. Tickets to Old Trafford average around sixty pounds. If you're a walk up or from overseas, that's when it gets very expensive. Depends where you go too, one bloke from our work paid $600 for two tickets in the away bay for Arsenal when they played Liverpool at Anfield earlier this season, conversely another bloke is going to Stamford Bridge to watch Chelsea play Aston Villa, and only paid $300 for three tickets.

I went to the game last time United were out here. The only reason why I went was I got invited to the CUB box for the match.

Thats amazing! You'd think Melbourne might jump on the bandwagon and try and get a return game at the MCG. Wouldnt be a bad idea for them.

The missus got my tickets this morning, fortunately she got them in the Western grandstand… Didn't want to be stuck with all those bludging, Bentley driving latte sippers.

Good money to be made by reselling tickets.
Category A was $200 and now selling on eBay for over $1000
