Ballack would be another great signing for the A-League.

I know these blokes are a little off the pace and in the twilight of their careers but let's be serious here:

Alessandro Del Piero (37, Sydney FC): Won the Serie A with Juventus last year.
Emile Heskey (34, linked with Newcastle Jets): Played EPL last year with Aston Villa. Not long retired from International duty
Michael Ballack (35, linked with WS Wanderers): Playing Bundesliga last year.

They're not names to be sneezed at, the Jets, Wanderers and FC will all benefit from their experience and natural ability, and thus will the A-League.

This is how the MLS is growing in the states in my opinion. Signing players like Beckham, Henry etc all legends . They put bums on seats. Hopefully this allows the competition's standard to rise in years to come

You can tell Sir Alex (spit) is confident about winning because he hasnt come out in the media and attacked the standard of refereeing in the EPL yet this year so far. In years gone by when Liverpool use to dominate them, that prick would come out without fail and blast the refereeing to make sure United (spit) got all the close calls.

Given the sombre note tonights game is going to have, it wouldn't really be fair to bash Liverpool. Just hope the United fans treat the event with respect.

I dont mean to sound like a sore loser but sweet Jesus that referee was just scared to do anything that could have seen as being a wrong decision for United. Players win games, managers lose games and referees ruin games and that imbecile of a referee was an embarrassment to the game because he ruined what would have been an awesome game. I dont mind being beaten and out classed by any team but one thing I cannot stand and hate with a passion is when referee's make made decisions that bring us down.

In saying that, I thought the game was very even. No side really dominated it was just a shame that the game was decided on 2 embarrassing refereeing blunders and a flukey goal.

The ref was ordinary.

Neither team inspired me. United couldn't maintain possession and Liverpool couldn't find the net. Thought it was fitting that Gerrard scored for Liverpool though.

Stoked with how well my Toffees have started the season, not only are we sitting second, we are actually looking good. Doubt we'll hold onto the top 4 spot but a 5th or 6th place finish is certainly possible.

Should do, Wigan look like relegation certainties, surely they can't pull off the miracle survival this season.
