Paolo di Canio appointed Sunderland head coach following sacking of Martin O'Neill
Sunderland have put their faith in Paolo Di Canio to save them from relegation after the sacking of Martin O’Neill.

Comeon boys! Now no game plan O'Niell is here, lets stay up!

Sundeland are fine then ,West Hams favourite son will get you out of trouble

so a mid table team english premier league team are coming to Australia to play against the Victory

I've got myself and a few mates tickets for the Wanderers semi. Very disappointing to see 20 to 30 tickets are already on eBay. There has to be a way to stop these people from profiteering on an event like this. It's just really not fair that some people want to make a quick buck out of it.

just finished watching the victory beat the glory in extra time. victory used up one and half cats lives tonight. the ref was a disgrace and the last few minutes of normal time were quite amazing. at 88th min perth miss a penalty to make it 2-0 then at 90+1min victory get an extremely dodgy penalty and make it 1-1, with perth going a man down as well. end to end in extra time and victory snatch the winner. bummer !!!

cmon the mariners and flog the victory next week

It's hard to get into the A-League finals as pretty much ever significant game has been affected by poor referring and certain teams have always been favoured. Would be surprised if FFA engineer matches to get desired match ups. Expect Western Sydney v Melbourne Victory gf if the draw allows.

Best result would be for Wanderers and Central Coast. By and far the two most consistent teams, and in a class of their own compared to the rest of the league.

Man U home and hosed now

Hopefully Hammers should beat the relegation battle with 4 more points

Talking of relegation which clubs do you think will go down ??

I'm a bit behind on this topic.

QPR and Reading are morals, and based on the draws for Sunderland, Villa and Wigan, I'm thinking Wigan will get out alive, and it will be between Villa and Sunderland. Sunderland has a tougher draw so I'll go with them.

In the 50th year of the bundesliga, Bayern have won their 22nd Title.

Side Note. Schweinsteiger has 6 titles, more than any other **team** (except bayern of course)

Just in case you forgot ,here comes the Brisbane Roar

And even better we held those dirty Scousers to a point at Anfield

The Roar are just making up the numbers. The mighty Wanderers will be taking that one.

2 seasons in a row Glory dudded by a horrible penalty call.
Smeltz should have put the game to bed minutes earlier but really, that call…and the subsequent red card...just horrible.
Alistair Edwards was all class in the post match conference. Can't say the same about Postecoglu.

Anything other than a Wanderers v Mariners GF would be a travesty. Clearly the best two teams all season.

Roar are about to rip the last page from the Wanderers fairytale story out

Good post.

I wouldn't want to be a Glory fan the way their last 2 seasons have finished.

And I'm starting to think it will be a Wanderers vs Victory final. Here's hoping it is as the ground will be absolutely electric.
