2012 Top eight

They had a bog average team this year and made the finals. Add a master coach and some quality buys (Boyd, Buderus, Tahu, Snowden) and it's easy to see why they'll be up there. They're team is 1000x better than it was this year, plus they've got a lot of depth in key positions.

I think Tahu and Buderus are well past it. Newcastle so far are nothing but hype

As i said in my last post I can't understand the hype around Newcastle. I'm sure they will be thereabouts, but premiership favourtisim is based on nothing more then hype. Everyone is getting to caught up in the 'supercoach' business IMO

Another side i've seen talked up on here, who i can't understand why is Parra. Hearing about their 'star signings'. I'm scratching my head to work out who they are

Sandow- Over-rated, and if media speculation is anything to go by, well over-payed. He'll also find it as a culture shock, as Parra is a far more professional run club then the basket case that is the Rabbitohs, with people with much higher IQ's then himself and his team-mates at Souths

Roberts- average first grader at best. Nothing more nees to be said

Tonga- i've alwayz though the guy was over-rated, and even with that being said, his best dayz are behind him

Snowden and Boyd are class and will add a lot to the team, Buderus will be the heart of the team, and if Tahu gets his head together will offer some real strike out wide. They were probably hit harder by injuries than any club this season and still made the finals. I can't see them not making the finals. Just a comparison, their team now is much stronger than the Dragons in 2008.

I'm not so sure Manly will be cannon fodder… They virtually have the same squad as the last 2 years and they are replacing Hasler with a guy who has been at the club his whole life...

Toovey might struggle with the week to week pressure, but if he can remain composed while around the squad, he will get the best out of the players and they will most probably want to play for him.

Manly are right in this!

i dunno man i think theyll have a fall from grace. they havnt really bought anyone, theyve got a rookie coach and if they get a couple of injuries im not sure what their depth is like. their starting team would be:
1\. Stewart
2\. Williams
3\. Lyon
4\. Matai
5\. Oldfield
6\. foran
7\. DCE
8\. king
9\. ballin
10\. kite
11\. watmough
12\. williams
13\. stewart
14\. buhrer
15\. farrah
16\. rose
17\. lussick

pretty good team i guess but my guts telling him theyll struggle

1\. Warriors
2\. Tigers
3\. Manly
4\. Storm
5\. Knights
6\. Raiders
7\. Sharks
8\. Dragons
9\. Bulldogs
10\. Roosters
11\. Broncos
12\. Cowboys
13\. Penrith
14\. Souths
15\. Eels
16\. Titans

thats a big drop for the Cowboys Bazz? Know something going on in Townsville?

Depending the outcome of Robert Lui's trial, I think he is the buy of the season?!

personally i feel the cowboys will have another injury raveled season and as such will not cope with losing thurston who i feel will get hurt quite early again. lui will do well but struggle at times he does tend to disappear mid match a lot and without thurston they will need him to fire which i dont think he can do.

of course this is just a feeling i have i could be completly wrong and more than likely will be

Thurstons actually played something like 18 straight origin games so it's not till after origin that he tends to get injured. Agree they'd struggle big time without him

not in particular order but ;

Tigers.
Storm.
Eels.
Souths.
Sharks.
Roosters.
Dragons.
Bulldogs.

No manly cause of no Hasler.
No brisbane cause of no lockyer.
No warriors cause of maloney signing for chooks & johnson 2nd year syndrom.
Maybe, knights will make it in that case i think roosters will most likely miss out.

Cowboys have one of the best packs in the comp
Junior Talent coming out of the woodwork and a really good spine( Aaron Payne is highly underrated)
If they keep everyone on the paddock they are a huge chance this year
