Anyone know it the 2014 NYC train and trial squad names have been announced

There was a post on twitter yesterday listing the comings and goings of the WT 20's squad.

By looking at the guys coming in and those moving up to state cup, you can get an understanding of how the team will look.

I am not sure how to repost the information from twitter though - sorry!

Could only seem to post it in that size. Not worth photoshopping that pic in a small topic like this.

Still no real surprises there but most of those gains are all age championship winning players! Add the best of the magpies and there's a bloody strong squad!

Lokeni Gavet (younger bro of James) could be a late addition and may join his former club and Auckland teammates Richard Ene and Deluise Hoeter.

Lamar Manuel-Liolevave, whilst younger, also played in the same team. Lamar's older bro is with the Dogs Jnrs.

Thanks Balmain Boy its nice to see it layed out in black and white! Is there a list of the entire 2014 squad somewhere?

Love the calibre of players we gain each year through Keebra Park! We have a great affiliation between the club and the school and we are very fortunate to have a very talented, knowledgeable coach in Greg Lenton who has an uncanny intuition into a players potential and knows how to develop these boys on and off the field in readiness for professional footy! I've seen it with my own eyes, he's one coach I look up to for sure!

I'm looking forward to watching Marshall-King, Seve and hopefully, finally, Sa Fafita!

Sweet :stuck_out_tongue: Looks like we may just have a stronger squad in 2014.

Greg Lenton is amazing, it is one thing to see the obvious talent, but he regularly sees something in players no one else can and turns them into stars.
I am looking forward to seeing Sa as well, have heard great things about him for years but haven't really seen him play

Fafita won't be back, possibly Titans and the Li brothers have also moved on.

Lamar liolevave has the BULLDOGS and TIGERS fighting for him as the Dogs had payed for all his playing expenses. Why the hell did we let this happen??Sa Fifita training with TITANS as well.

Sounds ugly. I thought we had this bloke signed, sealed and delivered so to speak. :brick:

Think you might be confused there lionheart? Sure Lamar's brother plays for the Dogs but Lamar's been contracted to us for a while now. He's already been confirmed by WT as a member of the NYC squad. So why then would the Dogs be playing for a player who isn't even contracted to them?? Highly doubt they would. Cash in a brown paper bag under the table kinda dodgy if they did!

I know the Dogs wanted Lamar and the brothers had expressed an interest in playing together, as family typically would, but lots of brothers don't end up playing for the same team. They will still be able to live together so that should be sufficient.

As for Fafita, disappointing if so. What's with these Queenslanders getting so homesick? Barba, Milford, Fafita? I'm sure players from other regions have issues too but they don't go running home anywhere near as often as these Queenslanders. Don't know any details about Fafita though so I can't comment specifically on his situation.

I'm not sure if the Tigers actually select these kids from NZ and send them to Keebra or if Keebra have someone in NZ selecting. We should be sending them to Holy Cross or St. Greg's so they are making friends/settling in where they will be expected to play footy.

Keebra Park also has girls which is another distraction these kids face, these kids settle in and get comfortable at the Gold Coast and then naturally become reluctant to move on and want to go back there at the first opportunity.

Kahu did the same to us with the Broncos

I believe Kahu had a scholarship, but all the guys mentioned above have contracts. Correct me if I'm wrong, but there's a big difference between the two.

Confused you reckon I dont think so mate,my source is pretty spot on!!!I think we will all find out sooner or later.

Some Qlders just don't like the Sydney life we are from a more layed back lifestyle I'm originally from Central Qld & after a few days at my sisters near Sydney I'm keen to go home. Love the Tigers though & love going to a game at Leichhardt when I can.
