2016 Forum Members get together [2 April - Round 2]

Hello all Forum members,I have received some requests via PM to see if we can have another get together during 2016…I have had a look at the draw and have thought the Tigers v Cronulla game at Campbelltown Stadium on April 2 at 5.30 would be a great match to meet at..lunch and drinks at WESTS Leagues followed by the game,few beers after and a sleep in on Sunday...if you guys have any thoughts or ideas or other games please let me know...I suggested the Campbo game because it's not so bad to get to and it appears reasonably central for most...please feel free to put forward any ideas or thoughts ...cheers guys and girls....

PS CB...could I trouble you to make this a sticky please....thanks mate....

I'll try to make it whichever date is arranged, but would be happy to catch up for the season opener as well.

Was going to go the trial v Melbourne and the Titans game

Pushing poo uphill to do another trip so close together

Hey Mate, ForeverTiger, and Myself were penciling in the Storm Trial Game as a meet up, with as many or as few of the SE Queensland contingent.

The Gold coast game is pretty much a lock in catch up as well. :smiley:

Yeah at this stage UD , will be going with another WT's supporter and his son (who is EB's best mate ) to the Storm game if they don't go to the 9's

Will probably take the week of the Titans game off and take a holiday in Mexico before coming back to the Titans game

The same bloke and his family are keen for that , but they usually head down for Monday WT's v Eels game , so I think that's the weekend after this game so they might pass if that's the case

Hi forumers,just a quick update regarding the get together in April…I had a discussion with a nice young lady from WTs who is my membership contact..I told her about the poor response from the club regarding a player to come and say hello and give a small Q&A..I told her Taylor said he would come and at the last minute pulled the pin..the young lady gave me her number and told me she would DEFINATELY get someone there for us this time,wether a squad member or an injured player,but she will help me get someone for sure...hopefully all the garbage going on at the club will be well and truely sorted by then...will keep you all posted after XMAS.....cheers guys...
 
Well done TT. I really enjoyed the last one. Was amazing how quick the afternoon went actually after we got talking and then had to quickly get in to the game. Looking forward to the next one.

I hope everything is going great for you and the young fella CB,Xmas would have been special this year for you guys….I sincerely hope you can make it to the get together this year as the last one was pretty good...
 
Hi Forumers…just a list of tentative attendees so far for the get together Tigers v Sharks at Campbelltown Stadium April 2nd 5.30pm....Meet and Greet at 12 noon,order lunch and have a drink until about 3pm or 4pm at the Wests Leagues Club,then walk over to the stadium for some rugby league and a win...

If anyone else is interested in meeting the great people of the forum please let me know via pm or in the thread,this is the second get together organised and the many that attended the first had a really good time,no reason we cant get numbers and enjoy ourselves once again...

ps..I will definately try and organise a first grade squad member to attend and we can have a 30 min Q&A,I have a fine young lady within the WTs as a contact and she will help get a player there for us,she understands how dissapointed we were last year when JT let us down...cheers guys,looking forward to hearing from you....
 
Hi guys ,I know your probably sick of seeing this thread come up,however if you have been thinking about joining in on the get together please let me know so I can compile my list,apparently Bathurst tiger wants in so I will pm him asap…anyone else can use this thread or pm me and I will keep the ball rolling...
If anyone is a bit skeptical of meeting other forum members,please don't be,our last get together was terrific and everyone that attended left happy and pleased that they had met their forum friends face to face,a meal and drinks shared amongst friends and then off to the game,fantastic way to spend a day... :laughing:

Hi TT,
I have already got the day off work, mainly due to a predicted hangover( my boss of 28 years is retiring on April fool day so a big night on the piss)
I get my son to come with me (driver) so I will be there unless something unexpected pops up.
I'm looking forward to meeting the Forum members.

Hey BT,great to hear from you and it will be a pleasure to meet you and your son,looking forward to getting quite a few of us together,don't worry mate we will eat and drink plenty and then enjoy the game,some of the guys from last year can't wait for this years get together and I can guarantee you they are all good blokes…pssst( even daffy and Ink)..hahaha... :sunglasses:
 
Hi guys,just another update re the get together,I spoke to my membership connection at WTs this morning,she has offered to do a discount for our group to watch the game in April at Campbo,the only problem I see with that is that most will already have tickets to that game if they have purchased the CS package..could anyone interested in going to the get together and game let me know

(1)..if you will be going
(2)..if you already have tickets to that particular game..

I thanked her for the effort of at least offering us a discount to the game,we also spoke of a representative from the NRL squad to attend the get together at lunchtime for a quick chat and Q& A,she said she would do her best to have someone attend…

So far so good people,don't forget the more the merrier,I would love nothing more than to have a good group attend this year,the forum folk are a sensational lot of people,the more we meet the better....cheers guys,look forward to hearing from you all...
