So everyone got who they wanted except for us. 2nd choice scraps.
How very West Tigers.

I'm not so sure that souths got what they wanted tbh. I think they'd prefer Seibold to Bennett. They picked up Bennett who is old and wont be there in 3 years. Seibold long term and a possible premiership would've been what they wanted.

Can't see the Tigers announcing that we have signed Maguire for a few weeks at least .. cause if we do then Cleary can claim for a payout figure .. Cleary has to ask for a release (that's if he hasn't done so already) before the club can announce that we have signed a new coach.

Happy with Maguire but really hope we don't give up Cleary easily. Either some serious financial compensation or a player or two. Otherwise this doesn't set a good precedent.

I can see Madge making big improvements of the Tigers over the next 18 months.

Sadly, by then we’ll also see Gus sack Ivan again and sign Madge for 2021\. Sound familiar?

Maguire is a great outcome. If you look at it we have managed to get a first class coach. Cleary’s reputation has taken a hit, the club has shown true professionalism throughout. We’ve really turned a corner the last couple of years and with the centre of excellence and western Sydney stadium on the way we are looking in good shape.

This is a very disappointing outcome. I have to say I expected more from our Board.

Really? What did you expect? If Moses won’t do come down from the mountain what the hell are supposed to do?
We got a best coach currently available to start in 2 weeks. Duh!!

Welcome Madge! Better record than IC, won a comp, made some mistakes in 2017 which i'm sure he's learnt from. All upside for tiges.

This is a very disappointing outcome. I have to say I expected more from our Board.

It’a all a part of the development of the club. A few years ago we were going from Mick Potter to Jason Taylor. Now we are going from Ivan Cleary (rat) to Madge.

If we keep building our supporter base is as big as anyone’s, our training facilities will be top flight our stadium will be first class. We have juniors from Leichhardt to the Southern Highlands and a powerful leagues club and hopefully 3 in the future.

Somehow if Balmain can get back on their feet and some of our wealthy supporters get involved the club can be a powerhouse.

Madge is the safer option for us at this point in time and he is 44 there is a chance if we get it together he can be a long term proposition.

Great appointment and a massive upgrade on Cleary. To bigger and better things with Madge. A curse on you and your son Mr Cleary. Don’t let the door hit you out on your way.
