Born in Bathurst, moved to Port Macquarie, then Katoomba Penrith, then Parramatta, but like a boomerang kept going back to Bathurst in between those moves.
Hopefully next move is to Swansea/Caves Beach, just got to get the boss onboard.

As a 12 year old watching a game between Bathurst St Pats and Lithgow Workman Club, (Lithgow wore the old Balmain Gold with 2 Black V's), it pissed dad off big time as he was a mad Souths supporter.

Hey BT,I have fond memories of playing St Stanilaus Bathurst when I was at Chevalier College Bowral..gee they had some tough rugby players back then...they invited us up for a game one weekend at their home ground at Bathurst,,,we played in about 3 inches of snow...thank you Stannys...

Regular poster on the so called FB forums ( frowned upon in here im reading )
Born and bred in Parramatta district , lone balmain tigers fan living with a household of parra fans!!
Now a tormented ,and frustrated Wests Tigers member !! Always say to myself Ill giving up on them then 24hrs later Im back on board but gee its playing the long game here and patience isn't one of my strong points!! lol

Now settled in the shire and loving it with the family!! :+1:

Born and raised within walking distance from the Mighty Magpies home ground of Pratten Park in Ashfield/Croydon.
Then a short time in Bathurst, a little longer in Goulburn,
then Parklea, moved to Pentridge Vict and finally Long Bay for a while.
I'm now live in and terrorising the area around Barrington Tops.

Do you get up into Barrington much mate?

G'day Cochise...Do you mean Barrington as in the little village of Barrington or Barrington as in Barrington Tops?, as they are 2 different places and a fair distance apart.

Heaps far apart and very different routes to get there lol. I mean thw tops mate, growing up I spent a lot of time in bush around the Dilgry Circle and off Thunderbolts, exploring the Manning river up around Gummi Rd. Walking down into the Big Waterfall, fishing and swimming in the rock pool under the falls.

G'day Cochise: you obviously liked exploring different areas when you were younger as your main stomping ground was along the New England H'way.

Yeah, just over an hours drive from where I grew and you're heading up the range into the Barrington tops.

I had a 3 month contract with Department of Housing in Doonside in 89. Was an eye opening experience, especially Helios Crescent.

Were you a screw or a crim, a lot of gaols in those towns, asking for a friend:smile: , I done some time working as a screw

Luckily for me I've never done porridge or been 'inside' in any form.
Although a few years back I drove up to a wall of Goulburn Super Max, got out of the car and touched the wall to see if I could feel any vibes, then got back in the car and drove away.
When I got to the main entrance one of the guards came out and stopped me and asked what I was up to and demanded to see my I.D.
I felt a bit uncomfortable for a while.
You must have some interesting stories to tell from your time as a screw?

Yeah mate I seen and done some pretty out there things in the time I was working there, most of my time was at Lithgow gaol which is maximum security, with some high profile inmates

Wow!!! I imagine you would have to be a special person with special skills to be able to handle working as a screw in a max. security jail?
Any high profile cons that we would recognise...that you can disclose?

I would have moved years ago, it’s just the boss always procrastinates.

I know where I would rather live, and it aint Bathurst, as nice as Bathurst is.
They say moving house for some people is one of the most stressful things we do in our life, particularly leaving family and friends.

I’m no one special but I played with Wayne Pearce from u12’s to u16’s at Coppers. I played 2 seasons in u23’s for the Maggies in 80 and 81. An eye opener...
