Hopefully next move is to Swansea/Caves Beach, just got to get the boss onboard.

Where the wests tigers love come from?

As a 12 year old watching a game between Bathurst St Pats and Lithgow Workman Club, (Lithgow wore the old Balmain Gold with 2 Black V's), it pissed dad off big time as he was a mad Souths supporter.

Born and still live in Lithgow, I was a Wests supporter, mum and sister Balmain, dad Bulldogs, so the merger was not too big a stretch for me.
I used to catch the train from Lithgow to Lidcombe as a kid to watch the footy, train never stopped at Lidcombe, had to get off at Auburn and walk.
But after a while, the drivers got to know us, and would make an unscheduled stop at Lidcombe for me and my mate to make a quick exit at Lidcombe

Lithgow has change a lot over the last few years, quite a nice town now.

I'm from a place called Blackbutt, which is basically a small part of Shellharbour on the South Coast. Lovely place to live. I grew up in Orange.

Heaps far apart and very different routes to get there lol. I mean thw tops mate, growing up I spent a lot of time in bush around the Dilgry Circle and off Thunderbolts, exploring the Manning river up around Gummi Rd. Walking down into the Big Waterfall, fishing and swimming in the rock pool under the falls.

Barrington Tops is nice country

Yes Mike it's a lovely peaceful part of NSW, but I'm not really much of a mountain man even though I love mountain women  .
I would much prefer to live near the Wollongong Ocean  or even the Pacific Ocean so I can breathe some of that lovely salt air.

I love it up there, spent so much time up getting lost up there as a kid.

When I go out for a drive I always carry a high powered led torch that has sos and fast and slow strobe flashing functions. Also carry a supersonic whistle, in the unlikely chance I crash off the side of the road and end up in a gully somewhere.
Also carry a special spring loaded device to shatter the cars side windows.
The sos/strobe function on the torch can also be used to warn other motorists if I break down at night on a dangerous bend or similar.

Were you a screw or a crim, a lot of gaols in those towns, asking for a friend:smile: , I done some time working as a screw

Luckily for me I've never done porridge or been 'inside' in any form.
Although a few years back I drove up to a wall of Goulburn Super Max, got out of the car and touched the wall to see if I could feel any vibes, then got back in the car and drove away.
When I got to the main entrance one of the guards came out and stopped me and asked what I was up to and demanded to see my I.D.
I felt a bit uncomfortable for a while.
You must have some interesting stories to tell from your time as a screw?
