Our forward pack will be strong next year:

Utoikamanu
Musgrove
Twal
Garner
Lucy
Blore
Mcintyre
Aloiai
Mikaele

That is a strong exciting pack. That pack has something the tigers have always needed, big strong players.

I don't know ...try putting it up against the other 15 squads and see what you think then

Average at best

if we want a 13 get after Billy Magoulias. quite ridiculous the fact that he can't get a run at the sharks. I like the idea of McIntyre developing there but Magoulias is in a different class.

also you'd expect Blore to do a pre-season on the right edge and unseat Garner, but we need another front row signing. Tamou, Welch or Ofahengaue is what we need.

Cant get a run at Sharks and no one else chasing him. Great park footballer, but a park footballer.

Rudolph and Trindall are the two from the Sharks worth more than a look. Rudolph is supposedly off to the Warriors.

Don't mind Trindall (but only one game), believe Rudolph wants to stay at Sharks though (could be another Teddy/Raiders episode).

LOL I have an image in my head where a player and manager sees the $$$ offered, like Sticky and the team, then travel down to Canberra in the middle of winter and "Yeah....nah..."

It's funny how people think Maguire can attract quality players. At the end of 2021 he will have gone 5 years straight finishing outside the 8.

McIntyre should spend the pre season training at lock. He’s big, has footwork and can learn to pass. Twal broke the line ONCE in 2020 found out he had some pace then stopped dead because he shocked himself. It was hilarious to watch. He is a Prop. Or as Scott Prince said to the ref when he was playing for Gold Coast: “ How come you sin binned my 5/8? The Tigers only lost a big dumb prop!” It was Gibbs he was referring to.

I agree McIntyre should be schooled as a lock, hits hard, good motor and can pass )due to being a former centre), just needs to brush up on that.

Agree with this, he finds his front well and defensively probably has the best technique of all our forwards, he's about the only bloke who can drop a guy one on one with relative ease. Blore can also hit but I'd like to see him on an edge with Lucy, gives us a bit more strike on the edges.

If we don't sign an experienced prop and two speed players in the backline then 2021 will be another poor year. I see after pre season Blore and McIntyre pushing for starting spots. McIntyre has the makings of a good lock.

Agree. I think it is bog average. There is no damaging edge runner or metre-eating prop there. those are pretty much the same players that struggle to get 100m per game. Not sure what will change.

I agree, those forwards are stronger than we had in the last few years, but still inferior to many teams IMHO we need another 2 props and lock.

Whilst I wouldn't be against trindall... I can't see us adding another half

Would like to see the club bring in a specialist halves coach over the off season for Brooks. Not sure if he is open to it but someone like Matty Johns, worked with Cronk early in his career and I think has a high footy IQ despite being a media personality. Andrew is tied up with Parra and their halves are playing well. I think having a known personality come in even if he does little to actually improve Brooks would at least give a fresh sense of change and legitimacy to the club - compared to a unknown halves coach.

Just think we need to try someone who can get to Brooks on his level.

Moses has gone backwards this season working with Joey to be honest. Cronk would be a great halves coach.

I do agree I think he gets more praise than he deserves but there is no denying at least his kicking game has gone up another level.

Agree Cronk would be great, however I think he works with the Roosters? (not like any post career jobs would have ever been discussed when signing him in the first place right uncle Nick??)

I feel like the Reynolds situation changes by the day. a player like him wouldn't want to be stuck playing reserve grade for the rest of his days. he'll either fight to earn his place back in the side or he'll find another club. if the latter happens, I can't see us not going after a rookie/low budget half with the loss of Benji, Reynolds and Walters coming off an ACL.

I predict a Marshall & Foran swap, with Foran signing for 2 years (with a larger % of his money coming in year 2). This won't be too bad. No insider knowledge, just wishful thinking....

In the last 10 years that Maguire has coached, he has only missed the finals three times and has won the comp twice.

Yeah thats a coach I could get behind as a fan or a player.

Does anyone consider Josh Aloiai as potential lock? He seems to have the necessary mobility, is awkward to tackle and an adequate defender. Having a Lucy, Blore and Aloiai as a back three in the pack with lots of game time might be an improvement. I am not sure on his motor though.

Leaves Twal, Musgrove, Utoikamanu, Rusty as props.
