Is it right to assume that the team will be running out as ordered above??

E.G. Laurie in 6 and Simpkin at 9, Liddle at 14 etc. I know they aren’t numbered but they do seem to be systematically organised by position 1-13.

Interesting to see AJ not in the team whilst eligible, especially with Talau named. Don’t want to read to much into it but makes me wonder if maybe AJ is rated above TT and hence is being saved for starting 13 next weekend...

EDIT - others already picked up on this while I was writing I see now

Yeah that is interesting about AJ, could just be that he is a bit ginger from preseason too. Who knows.

Biggest surprise for me is Laurie at 6 and not fullback. When they signed him they talked about him as a fullback but maybe they just wanted him in the team somewhere, hopefully he gets a run at fullback sometime during the game

Also interesting that there's no Blore, thought they would've wanted to give him as much game time as possible.

Maybe with AD suspended in round 1 Laurie being considered for 5/8

I think MCK would make a great State Cup captain as he wouldn't being much of NRL

A trial is to just judge each individual performance, it is not about winning. If you picked your best 17 it may give some idea, but alternating 33 players is just mayhem.

? Mbye , Laurie , AD , AJ .... that’s literally the pecking order as I see it . How many do you want ? It’s 1 position . A really important one , for sure , but still 1 position .

I was worried about our depth at fullback and 5/8th but Laurie coming across has really turned that into a strength. 13 is the position that needs strengthening over the next 12 months now.
