Team List - NYC
Wests Tigers NYC Holden Cup Coach Willie Peters has named his side to take on the Brisbane Broncos in their Round 12 clash this Friday at Suncorp Stadium.

Kickoff is from 5:10pm AEST as Wests Tigers look to extend their unbeaten run to eight straight games following a come-from-behind 32-28 win over the Knights last weekend.

Missing several key players due to injury and promotion to the Club’s senior grades last weekend, Peters welcomes back five-eighth Veiru Mapesone, centre Ryland Jacobs and Junior Kiwi back-rower Esan Marsters after their impressive performances last week.

Ryan Papenhuyzen has been ruled out this week with injury — replaced by Roman Ioelu — while centre Toni Tali will make his Holden Cup debut in place of Samuel DeFiddes.

Daniel Peck starts the match at hooker with Jacob Liddle named in Intrust Super Premiership, while Daniel Roberts starts in the halves after a strong showing last Saturday.

Be there to cheer the boys on when they take on South Sydney Rabbitohs on June 10!

Anyone know anything about Tony Tali? It will be a tough ask to knock over the Broncos at home this week.

Tali was a member of the Balmain SG Ball team which included Daniel Peck, Ryan Papenhuyzen, Jacob Giles, Moses Suli. He and his brother were most unfortunate to be a part of the citizenship issue last year in which Alan Jones and a few other well known Australians making representations on the brothers' behalf. Tali is a big right centre with good evasive skills and was signed to a 2 or 3 year contract by WTs. One definitely to watch together with Suli and Papenhuyzen.

I should say he is at the club due to Matt Head who recognised his talent when Tali auditioned for a spot at the Hills Sports High. Matt Head brought him to Balmain on his trail form.

Ah right, thought his name was Leighton Tali but he's obviously shortened his name down to Tony.

Great that Paseka is back, they'll need him now that Tatola is out (though i rate Paseka higher). The two of them would have been unstoppable at this level.

No Felise, Liddle and Tatola is a big blow to this side though. Was the best front row in the comp. I'd expect Paseka to play a bit of NSW Cup at some point too. Haven't been impressed with any of the backup props yet, but more game time might give them confidence to lift their games.

Peck was the u18s nsw hooker and playing in his regular position can only be good for me. Wheelhouse is there to cover too.

A bit harsh to drop a halfback that had helped lead the side to 7 wins in a row, but Roberts does look quality. Not sure if Roberts and Mapesone are too similar though. Maybe Roberts can kick?

Make that 12-6\. Tries scored by Karwhin and Paseka who carried 4 players over the line with him. Kid is a handful.

Ive seen him play a few times, kid is huge for his age and he's only like 19\. Glad we've got him secured

Scary thing is he' still 18\. Doesn't turn 19 til October!

Big, but unlike many other players we've had he puts his size to good use with his aggression. Will have to monitor his defence to see how agile he is. Potentially the most damagin prop we've ever produced.

Think, he's bigger than T-Rex, Idris, SBW, Taumololo etc,is still filling out, and is very aggressive.

But unlike someone like Sirro he seems happy to use his size. Of course he's only playing against kids but he could certainly be stepping up to a higher level in the near future.

On the result, a disappointing loss for the team but one which was perhaps coming after a good run. The bench is quite weak now with the losses of Felise, Sirro and Tatola. Don't have the prop rotation to match the top teams.

Will be interesting to see how they bounce back against the Roosters.
