That's sheens winning percentage with wests tigers. If you add his tenure at the cowboys I'm sure it would drop below 40%. Im sure alot of coaches would of loved to be afforded this luxury of failure.

Bring in dean pay Daniel Anderson or Steve folkes.

Sheens for a year then throw the house at Bellamy! whos off contract next year.

I will forever be grateful for Sheens, because he has brought so much to the club. But everyone needs to move on eventually. I could live with his frustrating selections if the team was still performing like we know they can, but looking at how things have panned out this year is just too much.

Let's get someone new who can give a new lease of life to our club, team, and stars.

I have been beating the drum for a long time, the guys stats are rubbish. Okay he won the holy grail a few times, buts its rocks and diamonds with Sheens and Iam afraid the rocks out number the diamonds by miles.

A new coach will not turn the place around over night, he will need time to introduce new players and new structures, but we need change

Its an interesting stat… of the coaches who have been around for plenty of years, this is the record:

T. Sheens 51%
B. Smith 51%
F. Stanton 51%
M. Hagan 53%
J. Lang 55%
W. Ryan 55%
C. Anderson 56%
P. Gould 59%
W. Bennett 62%
B. Fulton 63%

The Top 3 even more interesting:

Gould & Fulton only won 2 Premierships, compared to Bennett winning 7...

The only coach on that list to not win a Premiership is B. Smith :roll

Who is he accountable to though? The board is scared of both him and the power that the players hold.

I don't know how he gets away with it

Anderson yes
Folkes & Pay a big NO

Other than Anderson there's not much at all
I would like to see what Potter could do & wouldn't be against Gorgalis but other than that there is not to many

I watched a show called "kings ransom" on espns 30/30 and it was about how the Edmonton oilers traded Wayne gretzky (the games greatest player) in his prime after leading the oilers to 4 championships in 5 years.

Now if this is possible why is it so hard to sack an under performing coach?

The Colts in the NFL traded Peyton Manning, one of the greatest QB's to have ever played the game in the off-season, and he still has a lot to offer

That is not the case Happy.

http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-league/league-news/one-love-moltzen-in-position-to-seal-spot-20120716-226hu.html
"WESTS TIGERS utility Tim Moltzen told coach Tim Sheens he wanted to be the club's regular fullback during recent negotiations to extend his contract until 2015.
However, the 23-year-old central coast junior said yesterday that he was happy with how things had worked out and his goal now was to secure the Tigers No.1 jersey for years to come.
''I have spoken to the coach and it is my position to hold onto or my position to lose,'' Moltzen told the Herald. ''I have got confidence in myself and my ability that over the next three years that is a position I can make my own and hold onto, and that is what I intend to do.''
