A simple equation: Tigers must make finals or 2011 will be Sheens's last

And I still rate Sheens very highly.

It wasnt his fault we got beat by fifty, but I guess that makes him an easy target for all you vultures, so get stuck in.

Simon - would Melbourne or St George ever play like we did last week ?

I just don't see it. Simply put I think that we do not look well drilled.

Of course not, he's only the coach.

It's also not his fault we haven't made the finals for four (soon to be five) seasons in a row.

It's the players fault (the ones which he signed), the management, the ballboys, the jerseys, maybe the home grounds, the CEO, maybe that bloke who sells hot dogs outside Leichhardt Oval etc. etc. etc.

Keep rolling out the long line of excuses!

Now can we all move on….

Sheensy is here til 2011.....

Now Fire Up Wests Tigers .....

So true, some Sheens fans have been inducted into the cult and are there for life,he needs to go if we miss the 8 this year,as it is 8 of 15,so 2011 we can start fresh with a new coach.

You calling me princess now thats funny.Hate to see how you handle problems outside of this forum.I wouldnt need 2 guesses.

I will buy you a wolly pop next time i see you at the game.

Simon the tiger, what can I say four and 1/2 long season and you still think Sheens is the man. I love blind loyalty. The guy is in charge of EVERYTHING related to the football team and is paid a kings ransom to perform this duty. Things such as recruitment, retrenchment, selections, game plans, and training programs are all his responsibility and he is responsible for the results of the football team–its that simple. I have been hearing the rubbish about the players being responsible and not the coach for a long time now, well Iam afraid thats crap. If he cant get the job done get rid of him

Settle down peeps.

Simple question the topic title states. Well I have a simple question also to most of you.

Is this what you want to see & hear about the club you support? The club dragged through the media and rubbished at every opportunity by dimwits like Rothfield? Yes Sheens needs to walk, changes need to be made by the powers to be but at what cost? The image of the club is taking a battering. It hurts me that the club has found itself in this position but with or without ( 😛ray: )Sheens I will be supporting the club, afterall its the club and what it stands for that I support.

Melbourne:
4-50 vs Dragons in 1999
4-50 vs Bulldogs in 2003
10-54 vs Parra in 2001
0-40 vs Manly in 2008

Dragons:
10-70 vs Storm in 2000
6-54 vs Knights in 2006
4-50 vs Cowboys in 2000
4-40 vs Sharks in 2007
6-41 vs Souths in 2009

Every team gets hit hard now and then.

Game set and match,great call.

great journalism as Sheens himself has said he will walk if he cannot get anything out of this set of players..

If the Tigers don't make the finals this year, I really don't see the point of keeping Sheens for 2011\. Mick Potter and Nathan Brown are returning from England later this year so there are alternative options out there the Tigers should start enquiring about should the team choke once again.

Agree 100%. Surely if we don't make the finals this year we will sack Sheens. If we don't I will not renew my membership and will let management and the directors know why in no uncertain terms.

As for new coach, I personally would go for Steve Kearney but as willow mentioned their is a number of suitable candidates to pick from.

Making him face up this year with a year to go gives the club time i guess to sound out a replacement….dont like the looks of next year already....twice in his final year he ran 2nd last....no different to 9th I guess
