Aaron Woods - Signs with Bulldogs 2018 - Sharks 2018 [Official]..

Apparently the Sharks are interested in Hipgrave from the Titans. Starting to look like Woodsy will be left stranded at the Dogs.

Hipgrave could either go the way of Nathan Brown…or the way of Paul Carter (talking purely about the on-field performance).

I was having similar thoughts last night. Plenty of ticker, though.

He'll end up costing whatever team he plays for big time if he doesn't settle down a bit. Too many brain explosions to be a really good player. Titans played a man short for 20 minutes because of his idiocy and it cost them the game, imo.

Hipgrave had been really good until the game last night. To be fair the referees were making sure Souths would get the 2 points last night.

I rate him, he is the Josh Reynolds of forwards and only 21.

It looks like he takes pride in his defence.

Shows plenty of heart and puts big shots on big forwards.

Weren't a few on the Sharks' forum suggesting he was headed to that club with no juniors?

Yeah they seem to think that they're going after both Woods and Hipgrave and would be happy enough to just get Hipgrave, hence they're playing hardball with the Woods offer. If they've got the money they should be going for both so they can move Prior to lock and have Woods and Fifita starting with Hipgrave coming on for impact. They'd have a good set of middle forwards with that combination. Well balanced.

Indeed. He looks like a peanut to me.

Its interesting ivan wont expressly rule woods out like roosters did.

Watch him being asked by reporters today about Woods and compare his response to when they asked about Mbye. Night and day. With Mbye he had a sly grin that gave it away. With Woods, he didn’t deny it, but he remained pretty stone faced. He’s not interested.

Off course Ivan is interested
Every club would be
If Aaron wanted to play for the tigers for $1 Ivan would sign him tomorrow
The question is what will he cost us and will we still have enough money for another quality back

I think there’s a bit of a difference with Mbye and Woods

The Mbye deal was the worst kept secret in 2018 everyone knew he was coming here therefore the sly grin, but in regards to Woods it’s very much in the unknown

They had a good working relationship last season despite all the dramas, and we could certainly use another experienced body upfront, so I can't see why he wouldn't be interested. That said, there is no mention of us being in contention to sign him now as there was earlier, so perhaps the price is just not right. The Bulldogs, despite saying they want to shed him, are playing hardball with their end of the bargain. Perhaps if they come to the party and cover a fair percentage of his contract, then we might be back in the frame.

Is uncle slime still his manager…..... that’d be reason number 1 I wouldn’t touch him again......

That would be one thing that would want to change before he even started negotiating, no more uncle slimy.
Dogs to pay some of his contract and a pay cut from his own wallet, with WT only paying about $450-500K.

And the Leumeah postcode tattooed on his forehead.

Well there is plenty of forehead with the hair receding.
