Is uncle slime still his manager…..... that’d be reason number 1 I wouldn’t touch him again......

That would be one thing that would want to change before he even started negotiating, no more uncle slimy.
Dogs to pay some of his contract and a pay cut from his own wallet, with WT only paying about $450-500K.

And the Leumeah postcode tattooed on his forehead.

Well there is plenty of forehead with the hair receding.

True. Room for the Brydens logo.

"I'll talk to him over the weekend (my manager), but at the moment I want to be here, it's a great club the Bulldogs and I've really enjoyed my time here.
"(The club has) got some really good people, Dean Pay is unreal.

"I want to stay, but things happen, rugby league is a funny game but at the moment I know I'm here definitely.

"It sucks (the trade rumours) because the people around here are unreal, I've really enjoyed my time but things do happen in rugby league that are out of our control.
"The way you handle yourself is a testament to your character. If it's meant to be that I'm here, then I would love it and I'll stay, if not, I have to move on, it's just part of life.

"There's no point holding grudges because I've really enjoyed my time here. I just want to stay, but there's a realisation that I could not be here."

If the club is so great and he wants to stay, then stay. He has a contract, he doesn’t have to go anywhere. Not a good attempt at painting himself as a victim.

It just makes me glad he is not making this type of statement as a WT. I thought his best move would be to shut it and move on.

Yep. This is exactly why I don't want the guy back.

At least he had a go on the field. The cat, myth, dog Packer wont even try. Give me Wooda over Packer any day.

That’s emotion talking.

it actually isn't mate. Front row is the easiest position to play. Packer has dogged it for 5 weeks. No emotion at all. He went run hard, he went run at all

I read your post on the should not be critical thread

Wood's to Tigers or the Sharks

The injury-riddled Newcastle Knights are looking to add players ahead of the June 30 NRL transfer deadline, following their latest casualty, co-captain Jamie Buhrer.

Buhrer tore his ACL during Saturday’s loss to the Roosters and has been ruled out for the rest of the season, joining a growing pile of injured bodies.

Mitchell Pearce (pectoral), Tautau Moga (ACL), Daniel Saifiti (foot) and Jacob Saifiti (shoulder) are all on the long-term injury list, putting the club in need of reinforcements.

But coach Nathan Brown says the club is not going to go after Bulldogs front-rower Aaron Woods.

“From what we understand, Woodsy is a Sydney man,” Brown told sbs.com.au.

“His mum is nearby and he’s going to have a family soon.

“**Whether it’s Cronulla or back to the Tigers. You can write anything, you can make up a story – but I don’t think he’s coming to Newcastle**.

“We’re certainly looking and looking hard but we need to find players that are a bit more longer-term at the moment rather than thinking shorter term.”

Now 6-8 for the season, the Knights face an uphill battle to make finals amid their injury crisis.

“I think we can certainly acknowledge that it’s (injuries) not helping, that’s for sure,” Brown said.

“I believe if Mitchell didn’t get hurt, that we would have won today’s game. We would have won two or three games that in key moments we haven’t won.

“That’s what experience does. That’s why everyone wants these types of players.

“We’re getting a bit lighter now, there’s a fair few longer-term ones, which are hurting us.”

It will be the first opportunity for Bulldogs fans to boo Josh Reynolds.

It will also be the first time for Wests Tigers and Bulldogs fans to boo Aaron Woods.

I would take Woods back at the right price (i.e Bulldogs paying a large sum of his contract) and play him at lock due to his long minutes and possible changes to the interchange (8 to 6).

As would I. Personally I don't think Packer and Matulino are setting the world on fire for us, they're not averaging more than 100m per game and Packer doesn't average much at all. I think Woods would complement both of them. Start Woods and Packer with Mats and Twal off the bench.

Twal and Eisenhuth carrying the load of our much more fancied and higher paid props who look like they are currently playing for their retirement fund. Both dont offer enough atm to escape criticism.
