I thought it was telling when he said he gathered players around and said he was leaving and Chris Lawrence spoke to the group telling them that the focus is on this year & they must play for it.

Probably because they dont have issue with Woods and are far more objective about the reasons he chose to leave.
Considering they are the ones who have been writing what a basket case we are for years off camera for all we know they are congratulating him on a good move.
