Aaron Woods - Signs with Bulldogs 2018 - Sharks 2018 [Official]..

There's a big chance the Rorters are going to pick up Woods on the cheap .. after all they heaps of money left in their salary sombrero … oops i mean salary cap.

Apparently they are yet to spend any of their cap.

I think Woods would have to ask Ivan nicely if he can come back if we are to see him at the Tigers again

We only want players who want to play for the club and the team
That was Aaron before he left

He would no doubt be regretting the day he left the Tigers
Look at the mess he has got himself in
Swallow some pride Aaron
Give Ivan a call
Work something out
Come back home to where you belong
Bring $300000 a year from the dogs and we will give you $500000
You get your $800000 a year and get to play in the best forward rotation in the NRL

Ivan said no !

That’s the story I heard .

I heard the same. I don’t think the board would sign off on his return even if Cleary has a change of heart. He made it well known through Fox colleagues that he was no fan of Go and Pascoe being a major reason he left.
It’s not an accident he was working there at the time.

Not the sharpest and guided by a sly fox

Idk how you could sign off on a player one year removed from him throwing your club under the bus. If it were at the end of his 4 year contract, and water had passed under the bridge, then maybe. It’s too early to bring him back like nothing happened. The club has to show some dignity. And it wasn’t just the interview, not once as captain did he ever lead by example and endorse the club. Had too many self interests.

If Woods offered to play for $100000 a year Ivan would jump at the chance
If what you say is true it must be a $ issue
If Aaron is money motivated then good luck to him
It didn't get him far last time

Does he want a big pack around him and to finally work as a team
Or
Take another road
Sharks with no Gallen or Lewis and possibly Homes
The expectation on Aaron would be huge again
Or
Roosters with Cronk gone in a year
JWH losing his impact
Napa on the outer
And very high expectations

Dont make the same mistake

Why are you so convinced that

A - It’s a money issue.

And

B - Woods is in position of strength to be the one who decides whether he comes back.

Woods dug himself a massive hole and I very much doubt Ivan would or will throw woods down a rope ladder

Woods may not be totally driven by money, but I can't see him leaving the Dogs and forgoing a million dollars over a four year period to play with another club. He'll stay a Dog, they are stuck with him.

I’ve said before I’m just an average supporter and definitely am not arrogant enough to think I have a smoking gun BUT I am absolutely positive and certain that Woods wanted a Tigers return, the board were willing to accept this, but coaching staff did not think it a good use of available cap. That’s why he will be a shark or chook or dog but not a Tiger. Close the thread.

A -Money always talks
If you could get a bargin you would be silly not to have a serious look

B- I never said it was woods decision whether he comes back or not
He could ask as could any player but the final decision would be Ivan's and only if a $ value could be agreed to

If Woods switches clubs, does he need to be moved on for the same amount he was signed for by the dogs (800k?).

Can Sharks offer 500k, Dogs pay 200k & Woods take a 100k pay cut?
