Can we please bookmark this thread, if AD doesn't have a good year, we can revisit how happy so many folks were to sign him today.

Not being a negative nelly, just I recall a lot of revisionist commentary about JRey between today and back when we signed him.

I'm pleased for AD to be aboard, hope he does well, let's see some performance on-field now.

I am so confident he will have a good year baring injuries that I will bet my left testie on it
You can bookmark that

Just occasionally I p*** myself laughing at forum comments. You cant beat a bloke who is prepared to bet the left one. That's serious !!!

I believe a lot of credit has to go to recruitment. They backed themselves to get their men and they have and they have got the current clubs to carry freight.

Fantastic outcome for players you want on board. Souths might have been OK with him staying on this year but next year is a different story. I still maintain they had to get him off the books and they had to take whatever offer was on hand now in case he had a poor year.

I still reckon the interest from the roosters was a dead set beat up

I reckon they would have had a prod, but they would have lowballed him. They have Keary and Tedesco already. Smith will be back next year in addition to Manu and apparently they will be aggressive in chasing Xerri. AD was asking big money to be a fill in among that. They are an attractive proposition in that they will probably play finals and if the worst happened to Keary or Flanno Jnr didn't work out he could step into the role but again it's a big gamble for Easts.

Means nothing if you're shooting blanks!

What I like about this signing, is that assuming this is Marshall’s last year, it gives Madge the option of chasing another fullback for 2021 and moving Dooey to 6.

Depends on the market ..or even where we are at with Reynolds and or Talau

If anyone hasn’t watch his interview on the website.

Instantly a winner for me his traits, level head, respect for the coach style and his face lit up just thinking about playing at LO in round 2.

He isn’t here for an easy run he wants to be the best he can be.

I’m impressed regardless of how good he was back end of last year.

Think Madge is going to get the best out of this kid

Agree ... Comes across as a kid with a smart head on his shoulders..
He knows what Madge expects and still wanted to come here and is very keen to earn the respect of his teammates..

He might no have the top speed but he has the smarts and just knows how to play the game..

Winner winner here... Great job.

I have to say, full credit to Pascoe,Madge and co...the club this offseason has not only recruited well but has stepped up a couple of levels in professional, integrity and organisation that we haven't seen for a very long time...the days of squandering money and looking after friends first has disappeared ….this club is turning the corner and heading in the direction of finals football...congrats to all and now watch the sponsorship Interest rise to another level...

Astute signings.. Maybe Magcoe = Shanalynch.. one can only hope that we follow the same route & results in their 2nd season together

I don't normally bookmark testes but I'll make an exception.

Other than the 2 try highlight package, this is a much more promising one of AD

He certainly is an impressive footballer. It is not hard to imagine that Bennett would have preferred to keep Doeuihi at f/b while Mitchell is in the centres.

webster reporting on BSB souths are only paying 50k for next year for douhie salary

So...and it's Doueihi...

A few poor options amongst some good things in that video, but must say that I was very impressed with his attacking a ball on the ground, as they are gutsy plays.

I don’t know that you can accuse Madge & Pascoe of paying overs until Adam has a full season under Coach Madge. Therefore the contract price is irrelevant. However, with all the numbers being thrown around , like chips on a beach, it would be nice to know.?

well souths only covering 50k of next years deal is not the best of deals we have paid overs if that is the case.
Hope he is worth it
