Adam Doueihi #227

To me he's just a guy that smart enough than to feed the media tid bits which they take out of context...

Now you've taken it in the context that he hates the club .

He also hasn't joined Isaac Moses according to the recently article
Agree Doueihi is somewhat media savvy but I note the wording 'not technically signed with Moses'- geez, that can cover a multitude of sins there 🙂

I think he's playing the game to get the tigers to resign him
Yeah I wouldnt mind a contract extension offer but without any guarantee of any position at this stage. I think his multi role ability leads to a position in the 14-17 bench but he will probably want something more definite at this stage. Certainly his move to lock is only exploratory at this stage.

Maybe this is what he was referencing with the comment asking the big boss Richo. Maybe Richo is saying if you sign with Isaac any future deal is off the table and they don’t want a bar of him. Just a thought.
Makes sense. Maybe Adam is trying to negotiate his own contract again and the ace up his sleeve is that he'll go to Isaac Moses if they don't offer him a new contract.. if Douhei is the one who leaked that he was signing with Moses as a strategy, it's even more reason to sign him .. shows the kid has game... Game we need!!

Either way, I think Douhei bring versatility - halves, centre, potentially lock. We should lock him down while we can, especially if he wants it... He's only 26.

We can't be upset at a guy wanting to stay, then complain that players like TDS and Galvin want to go because they are a bit younger..

I stillt think Douheis best footy is still to come

I hope his best footy is still to come because between some good patches he has dished up some rubbish. He has definitely improved over the last few months but for mine unless he turns into an excellent lock over the next few rounds he is depth if he stays.

If Moses has been asking around clubs it wouldn’t take much for it to get out. As they say there is no secrets in rugby league
He’s probably just using Moses to do his legwork to find his value and then negotiate with the club to stay

I'm not getting sucked in by 2 reasonable performances by Doeuihi. Fans have been sucked in before only for his effort plays & performances to fluctuate from ok to piss poor.

If AD can put together a consistent strong 6 weeks at lock & the team performs better as a result, then Richo should sit down with him at that point. Nothing before then.

If he signs with another club in the meantime, so be it!

Jolls, you could say that about every player in this team. No one other than May, has been consistent.

I was being polite using the word rubbish. There are times when he just has no effort and if it is not his immediate responsibility it is not done. Too often than npot he strings together a couple fo good games and then drops off a cliff.

Can’t dispute any of your post mate, and Doueihi has only come good at a time of contract negotiations, which is not a good look. However, based on what he can do I think he’s worth $100k more than Twaly.
He’s a local junior too which is even more disappointing.

I wish AD had made the same effort for the past 3 years that he has made in the past 3 weeks!
Hes been offered $400k by WTs on a one year deal, after which he almost certainly will go to Perth on an extended term which given his fragile knees he shld be striving for after 3 acls and an uncertain long term
Its a very fair offer all things considered ,and if he gets a few sheckles more at Dragons next year good on him

He is worth keeping as a depth utility as he covers a few positions. However, none of them are at NRL starter level. I would be happy to pay him extra for his versatility. If he can prove his worth as a 13, even better. Given last weekend was his first hit out as a starting 13 he did OK. Was gassed too early and shirked some of the hard yards. I would be looking at from a true ball playing lock. Early days though and if picks it up he may fill the role. At this stage I would be more comfortable with a proven ball playing 13 going into 26.
