Adam Doueihi #227

Lee and Pascoe would have just re- signed AD for $700k a year
YES - 100%

And many here also wanted us to outbid Saints - let alone match their over-inflated offer!

It was a 2-horse race!

NIL other NRL teams wanted anything to doohey with Doueihi!

He's been a free-agent for 2026 since 1st November 2024 FFS!

Get that into your thick skulls!

Do you think we should drop him for the Sea Eagles game, or keep him at 7 and see how he goes ?

With matching Saints offer just to retain Doueihi?

Circumstances have proven that the clowns saying we needed to increase our offer to match the Dragons - were ignorant- reactive and wrong!

He didn't stay for less due to loyalty either way he now spins it - it is for a familiar security blanket and soft-hand that he would not have at the Dragons!

And being a live-at-home kidult from a wealthy family - with no partner or kids - he can financially afford the $100-150K offset compared to the commutes to Wollongong for training...

This is a win for sanity as the squad develops - and Adam will face increasing pressure to hold any of the stop-gap positions he currently fills!

The most significant takeaway for the Doueihi fans is that zero other NRL clubs showed any interest - even with Moses seeking offers on his behalf....

We could have kept him for even less - if Flanno hadn't stalked him.

Flanno also just got a further 2 years for achieving nothing and never getting his recruitment targets over the line - while the dopes here are calling for Benji's head when he started from a much lower base.
are you ever humble

No - I wouldn't change a winning team.

And Latu will be best utilised off the bench against his forrmer teammates.

The following week is another matter - but that's in Adam's hands too

You may be only as good as your last game - but for observers recency bias is not your friend!

The broader sample size depicts reality!

I don't think even you wanted him to stay at 7 after the Parra debacle..... try to enhance your neuroplasticity

unless Latu is busting out of his seams to strike against his new foe ,good scalp for us that week

Serious question. If I was sitting next to you on a train while you type messages like this, would you like you are laughing? Angry? No emotion?

I agree with your post by the way but i am curious

He might have a few more of those games in him before the season ends, stay tuned.
I hope so - but now the new contract's been signed I have my doubts.

He followed up the big Canberra game after his return last year with an insipid performance and a week off after signing his last deal...

Regardless - Latu on the bench gives us flexible cover for Jarome, Api and Adam and will be a critical part of the 17 against Manly and onwards.

He's not scared of collisions like your old crush Lachlan...

Our old mate Lachlan doesn’t look like he is going to produce his best or be happy as 7 in the Bulldogs structure does he ?
Mitch Woods loves the collision and is a more natural 7, have the Bulldogs made a bad boo-boo ?
Anyway Wests Tigers look like they have plenty of good options in the halves for 2026, that’s all that matters.
Would you persist with To’a at right centre, or would you look to offload and upgrade him ?
If you could add one more forward recruit for us in 2026 who would it be ?
