Adam Doueihi #227

Well, you are only missing the fact that because of AD's dominance, the rest of the team just sit back waiting for something to happen. It's had the effect on Bula and Luai to the extent that they just don't contribute at all. Bula is no where to be seen. Luai stepped a tired player late in the game and ran for a change, but no one was in support.

6 10 6 - the last 3 weeks' scores all involved Douehi - Sukkar at the line, Douehi twice, including an amazing in-goal chase and the in-goal kick for Samuela. Other than those moments, our attack has been pathetic. When other teams spot our weakness, they hit us there again and again. Ask Tavana. What do we do? Douehi, Douehi, Douehi every time. It's so predictable. Rant over. Gotta mow the lawn even though it is a bit wet - dare I say the grass is a bit dewey! 🍻 🙃
That's the problem the team has had since they "dropped the ball" & reverted to wooden spoon mode.

No one is backing up the runners, anytime someone makes a tackle bust or is trying vainly to find a team mate to offload to, there's no one within cooee.

You don't gain rolling momentum unless you have players backing up.

A perfect example of someone who IS doing it right it's Fletcher Sharpe. He's ALWAYS there, backing up & making his own luck......very much like Terry Lamb did back in the day. Munster is like that when he's on his game, so is Harry Grant.

It's not like they can't do it, early in the season they were there for each other for that offload, with two or more players backing up, ready to take that pass.

Yes there's been injuries, yes the Luai drama has no doubt affected them mentally, but surely something else is amiss?
Luai & Doueihi have snapped at each other the last few games they've played together, some questionable positional changes and team selections, not being able to string the same team together for consecutive games and what I believe is a good part of the problem......players playing injured &/or coming back from injury underdone.

The last few weeks the boys have defended reasonably well considering the amount of ball they've given the opposition, its their attack. They get upfield & into the opposition 20 quite well usually, it's when they get there they've been terrible at turning that into points.
If they were scoring once every three times they get into the opposition red zone they'd probably have won at least 4 more games that I can think of off the bat.
They are just so clunky, disjointed and playing like a team of strangers just cobbled together.

I don't know what the answer is, but getting rid of $1.2 in wasted cap space is a start.
