Adam Doueihi #227

Why shouldn't Javon have been named?

We have had the most putrid attack in the NRL, only 22 points in the last 4 rounds total. An amazing 5.5 points per game. Doueihi acting like he is prime Andrew Johns getting asked to play hooker. Doueihi had the most touches of the ball last week for 0 points.

So, the coach does what any coach with half a brain with an out of finals contention squad would do. Blood a promising prospect, a prospect who is leading NSW cup in try assists and line break assists by significant margins.

He tries to fix our attack by having a better passer on the field and giving Doueihi a role that suits his strength of running the ball, overall giving us more options to score some points.

The arrogance of Doueihi to think that his performance over the last few weeks warrants no review, that the tactics need no adjustments and that he is untouchable blows my mind. He had a purple patch to start the season but has been a very below average half since returning.

I think Benji made the right decision, I am ecstatic to see Javon picked and I think Doueihi should go down to NSW cup and see if he can outperform Javon's production.
It’s good to see the News corp narrative getting shot down by the fans.

Should Javon have even been named this week ? NO on Benji
Should Doueihi have been moved to lock ? NO on Benji
Should have Doueihi reacted the way he did ? NO on Doueihi
Should have Twal and Seyfarth reacted the way they have been alleged to have acted ? NO on Twal on Seyfarth
So many bad decisions being made by supposed leaders of the club ....can we ever move forward successfully as a club without accountability being taken by someone
Every year it's something different .....but you never see it happening at the top clubs
It's really embarrassing
When you are losing Hap very hard to find any good decisions.
Our fans - rightly so - have no tolerance left and turn very quickly, and for the most part are also at odds with each other on everything. And then we have the media putting their spin on it.
Not easy for any coach or player to be involved with this club while ever we remain camped at the bottom of the table.

I’m finding ridiculous that some are throwing some of that 💩 at Benji.

The bloke got picked to play in the NRL run on side, again 🙄, and throws a tanty. He’s only doing it bcoz he thinks he can get away with it due to Benji’s a rookie coach, he’s done it before with Noddy. It’s about as self centred as you can get. He won’t have the balls with Bennett or the like.
Thanks for throwing the boot in Doobs.
AD is too stupid and selfish to even realise that players can be positionally moved around during the game and he probably would've been playing half at some stage during the game anyway. Theses players are selfish bastards and only care about their own egos and paychecks. AD should have his pay docked for refusing to play and be immediately shown the door. His attitude is nothing heroic in trying to shine a light on our culture. He is a sook that threw his toys and needs to go.

Adam needs to remind himself that anyone the WTs sign is because they want to play for club or be coached by Benji, not to play along side Adam.

I got one thing to add; Well said.

The irony of all ironies here is Benji threw a tantrum himself when Potter benched him. He played, but it was the beginning of the end of his first stint at the club.
What’s ironic about that ? Everyone blew up back then exactly like they are now . Benji was wearing an Auckland jersey a year later

Agree.
I wonder if Doueihi watched the Souths game last night. They spun the ball to the outside backs all night, scored tries and won the game!
Our backs only get used from our own 10m line to get bashed. Never in space or from an attacking position.
Doueihi is our handbrake for any attacking options out wide.
Wake up Doueihi or move on.

I honestly can’t be too critical of Doueihi’s behaviour given the circumstances. The club has set a precedent with Marshall and Farah doing something similar which resulted in Sheens leaving.
Another example was given by Noddy this week when he was coach involving Doueihi.
I thought this was exactly the reason Richardson was recruited?
Isn’t Pat Richards Head of Football?
Doueihi could simply be a victim of precedence?

No strong leadership at this club. No authority since the start. We've never had it & all our problems, including this, stem from that. We had a brief moment with Richo.

Exactly!! I’ld be showing the door to Doueihi, Twal and Seyfarth, but having them all compete for the lock position is the next best thing.
Why are they not supporting the coach and their teammates?
And another thing! You can’t hear a mouse squeaking at headquarters.
Unless ive missed something i dont think theres anything valid or concrete to dump twal and seyfarth into this as well

Benji set the standard at the start of the season with the comment that if you’re not all in then there’s the door or something similar. I recall Benji telling AD in the off season that he was the 7. I think AD is drawing a line in the sand and perhaps challenging Benji on his word and integrity (standards).
I don’t believe personally that AD has permanent hold the 7 jersey regardless of what Benji said but perhaps the Luai situation has him asking questions as to why he was moved when he remained loyal?

Why shouldn’t Javon have been named ? I got no problem with that call
There’s many people with different opinions, getting rid of AD is maybe a bit early , because what happens if javon , had a crap game and it looks like he is not 1st grade standard, ( not going to bag him on 1game ) but just throwing it out there , we have a terrible go with our kids coming through, so maybe see how things pan out before pushing players out , and remember he is on a small contract
