OFFICIAL Adam Doueihi #227

When Cleary is out, Ivan doesn't play Yeo at half. Great 13, doubt he'd be any good at 7.
AD might have been going okay, but ask his outside men what they think. He's not a half.
We are famous for having a heap of ball in the red zone for no result. That's on the halves. Both AD and Luai.
No grubbers, no chips, no deft inside passes, nothing. Zero.
I know it was just the trial game, but when Andrews and Madden combined, Makasini scored 3 from the Wing. Just sayin, I know it ain't NRL, but that play has been parked all season and we simply haven't been effective since then.

I can't see Doueihi staying Tuck if half is the only position he sees himself playing, can only see it being a short term thing, fill in until the young fellas stand up.
There are a few reasons why I think this marks the end of his time with us.

If Marshall forgives him, he risks looking weak. We're still a mathematical chance of playing finals, and this decision has thrown the coaching staff's plans into chaos.

More importantly, he's walked out on his teammates. Refusing to travel to Canberra is effective turning your back on the team, and I can't imagine they'll be happy about it.

Then there's the fallout. The club is copping negative headlines, the explanations have been vague, sponsors won't be impressed, and fans are lining up to slip the boot in. If he ever pulls on our jersey again, he'll be hearing about this every week.

I'd be genuinely surprised if we haven’t seen him in our colours for the last time.

That sums it up well man, OK then too bad, too bad it's time to hit the road Humphrey you won't be missed.

AD is such a martyr; an absolute legend; and hero of the common man He removed himself from the team to make the most profound statement that nobody has the slightest clue what he was trying to prove. He has put the team first in the most ironic of circumstances by self terminating just two days after his victorious judiciary pilgrimage cleared the way for him to lead the otherwise directionless Tigers on a triumphant surge towards premiership glory. The personal sacrifice and stench of futility is so immense it will inspire his teammates to yet another putrid and insipid display of incompetence and indifference as their negative points differential goes exponential.

Does anyone believe this 💩?

I wld have backed AD and Anrews..the future
Benji way too close to Luai to make that hard decision
Who does the organisation though? I’m as critical of Luai’s output offensively but he’s the one doing what passes for structure. I mean it’s not great but I guess the thought is AD plus Andrews on debut isn’t cutting it. The secondary thought is AD is big enough to play lock and create a further attacking option. But honestly I don’t know what’s happening anymore…

That’s the thing, I believe he will be missed. He is the only player in our squad who has a red hot go to score points.
Without him this year, the Dragons would be right on our arse competing to lose the spoon.
Don't know what happened to that early form hey, shell of a player at the moment something has pissed him off before this week's meltdown, the way he's been playing advertising it.

Yeah i agree mate. This is the confusion that has set in around Adam Doueihi. Im happy to admit and say he was one of the form "players" of the competition , but he was no way one of the form halves. Im not even sure how i explain that comment, but I’ll try. As an individual AD was great. But as a 7 he was very limited, clunky, sideways and struggled to bring other team mates into the game. It really is a strange situation, you have a guy who is the form player in the comp wearing number 7, but as a 7 he is bottom 5....*thats after 7 rounds). I dont think I have ever seen it before.
Yeah he was a form player wearing 7. That Warriors game in NZ was a good example. His breaks that night were basically him playing centre.

I’m finding ridiculous that some are throwing some of that 💩 at Benji.

The bloke got picked to play in the NRL run on side, again 🙄, and throws a tanty. He’s only doing it bcoz he thinks he can get away with it due to Benji’s a rookie coach, he’s done it before with Noddy. It’s about as self centred as you can get. He won’t have the balls with Bennett or the like.
Thanks for throwing the boot in Doobs.

Also the forwards were winning the battle at the start of the season, makes it easy for a hack to shine. All the crappy halves we had were killing it
Yeah our second rowers were threats on both edges too. Teams didn’t know where we would hit them. Opens up space for a big body who’s hard to tackle one on one.

Lately teams have just been rushing him and he doesn’t have a plan B.

Plus May and Bula. The injuries have exposed our depth but the pack need to get their mojo back or we are not winning any more this year.

100% it’s a whole of team issue, not trying to lay it all on one guy.

But the easiest fix when you’re not scoring points is to replace the guy who has the most influence. Benji showed his hand with AD when Luai got hurt.

Most players worth their salt just play where the coach tells them especially the senior players at a club when things are tough.
Api has played 7 before when we were desperate - God forbid if they don't get a warning sometimes it can happen in warm up before a game.
You see it in all clubs - even Latrell had to wear being moved to centre. They set the example for younger players and regardless of where you rate Douehi as a player he has 100% let his team down. I believe he is good young fellow off the field but he has been badly advised in this matter and been around long enough to know that it is poor form

I absolutly hope that Riccio is wrong when he states Benji was willing to allow Douehi to play 7 after he had his say. If that is true that sends massive alarm bells. In no universe ever is it a good idea for a coach to allow any player in any sport something they want after disrespecting the jersey. If thats true then all this accountability talk is crap, worse yet what example is Benji setting for the younger guys. Tell the coach to f off and youll get an N.R.L debut. I hope hes wrong cause it just sounds like absolute amature hour and total lunacy.
Same here. If Benji copped this selfish, childish ultimatum from AD and then responded by caving I am stunned and disappointed beyond words… I’m hoping it’s more BS from a fake news msm that have the ethics of snake oil salesman

I can’t believe how quick some turn on our club and fuel the BS from scumbag reporters.
I back Benji and his call for AD because he is the coach and unlike us supporters is responsible for outcomes. We have been the worst attack in the NRL for the last 6 weeks or so.
Predictable and not in anyway looking like unlocking players or threatening in attack what so ever so benji made a call to make a change. JA is leading NSW cup with 23 try assists and 25 line break assists that shows he can unlock the players around him and help get points both things we desperately need need so back the coach and the young kid and show some support for our club.
He makes no changes everyone whinges he makes changes everyone whinges and a senior player throws his toys out if AD wanted to play in the halves he should have had similar stats to support his case to keep his position over the last 7 weeks that’s not the case if you can’t do your job you get moved on you can’t ask us to change as a club and be more professional then complain when we do.
Benji obviously still believes he could get good performances out of AD but in a different position doing a different job and he should have taken that and done it end of.
Let’s see how this weekend goes and continue to support our team and stop reading the shit reported that is guess work at best and theories I don’t give a .. what some jurno says that doesn’t know anything internally I only care about getting out of this rut and finishing the season strong.
We have a kid making his debut that has huge potential and could be great for this club we have the rest of the team that could benefit from a genuine half that will be itching to play and will give 110% who has talent and stats show from lower grades and previous junior origin he unlocks games and players around him.
Final words for my rant, not one player is bigger then the team and change is inevitable when results aren’t there so back the club and cheer them on at Canberra.

An NRL season is one hell of a grind. It’s easy to come out and look like a million bucks in the first couple months while the marquee sides are finding their feet. Post Origin is when you separate the men from the boys. And like clockwork, we always get found out as boys.
