He has been apart of all our recruitment over the last 12 months , yes we got some young guns , but no we didn’t get any big guns , what that says is enough

He is partly responsible for the break downs in signings of the bigger names who were on the verge of coming. He apparently is hard to contact for someone involved in recruitment & is hard to fathom.

At one point in a meeting, Sheens turned to GM Adam Hartigan and screamed, "You (bleeping) need Stefano. You can't win without Laurie." Sheens left boardmembers and coaches largely speechless. He dominated the recruitment in every way. Tim's back. !!

I'm Calling it now, Sheenius will be in contention for the best front office signing of 2022. Being back in TIGER TOWN will see him fire up and work endlessly for big money. Oh, and his signing efficiency was better than the existing GM Hartigan, so this appointment was already an improvement at his current level.

I think the difference in having Sheens as the head of the football division is that being a senior He has enough cred to become the spokesperson for recruitment etc.
Since the Broncos signed Ben Ikin I don’t think the CEO or Chairman has commented once regarding signings.

I was going to call me self Happy Rock ( Gladstone ) Tiger .....

I haven't been a Happy Tigers fans since we won 4 of our 1st five when we Melbourne twice ,Roosters and Warriors from memory .....

And again for the 100th time ...if you don't like what I post ..put me on foe .....my posts are to amuse me 1st call ....and if someone agrees or thinks it's funny ...yay if not ....I couldn't care less to be brutally honest ......sorry but while I have got the honesty boots on 3/4 posters in this place know very little about this game and what does and doesn't work on a footy field .........and many probably think the same about my ideas .....

This club has been in a submissive position for a long time and it's about time we have someone bold enough to call the shots.
It's a funny club to follow as we all know that the club's board (and politics) has had more ascendancy over the direction of the club, than the football department or coaching heirarchy.
He may not have been able to successfully navigate through it as a coach during his tenure but his ability of developing a competitive culture at this club - down to our junior systems, is no small feat.
He also knows what it takes to build premiership winning teams.

The salary cap stuff and deteriorated relationship with the playing group was mentioned in part one of the Chammas article. It basically revealed management stuffed up and Tim took the fall.
I don't care about the past anymore as we've basically disintegrated in every way possible since we sacked him. No one seems genuine or is able to withstand or overcome our major problems.
He's not coming as our coach and may have spent some time away and I know footy knowledge alone won't turn the tide but I believe he'll serve as a great intermediary, given his own history with the club.

Don't think anyone is expecting miracles but moreso we're taking another (small) step in the right direction, and sometimes you have to go backwards in order to move forward.
I believe he won't stand for certain crap or lower any standards, as it seems many do when they come to the club. But will be helpful in many areas.

How good would it be if for once we were told the truth about why Hartigan is leaving. We all know this will not happen. So it is left to the pro-Hartigan brigade to tell us he was the greatest recruiter ever and the anti-Hartigan brigade to tell us he was arrogant and didn’t return emails or follow up interviews.
