Addo Carr signs with Storm...

Do the tigers not trust their talent spotters? Signed Chee-Kam, Aloiai and JAC on one year deals. Obviously if they played well, their value would go up. Would have been better getting them for 2 years (or at least an option in the clubs favour) at a lower cost.

You are making sense that is beyond the clubs comprehension

It will be interesting to see how he goes at the storm if true. Wonder how much 1st grade he will get when they have blokes like Chambers, Scott & Kennar fit and firing. Judging by the outpouring of grief, anyone would think that we have lost the messiah. He has not proven much. We probably should have tried to keep him, but within the available budget given what we have tied up already for next year. 900k Farah, 600k each brooks and Moses, 600k Lawrence, there is 2.7m of a $7m cap. Would assume Woods, Siro, Teddy would be eating up close to another 2m so 2.4m left to sign another 18 players in a 25 man squad. We would need to have a lot of blokes signing for minimum wages

JAC was only after $120k next year, and upgrade to $180k the year after TT mentioned, that is pretty damn near minimum next year.

If true this club never learns. Wingers in the game today are important. You need guys that offer something.

We think it's fine to have plodders in a position that can turn a game and when we luck into a good one we don't even act on it.

I know I am filthy, JT is happy to have a bloke who is way to slow for wing playing out of position all year, and now it looks like next year as well, when will we learn.
Bellamy knows how to get the right priced wingers, JT can't even find one at his own club, he just plays a slow half on the wing all year.

It these decisions that lead us to struggle as well. Is JAC better than Rankin ? Is it close ? I mean pick the right guy in that position.

It would be a real shame if he is heading South, it is not like we a flash in the wing department and he would not have cost a squillion, but we have 25 players to get under the cap in 2017, so what may look like a real dumb call, may in fact be forced on them due cap restraints. I would like to give the club the benefit of the doubt

Better that than what Parra is going through.

Parra are architects of their own demise..yes,they have 2 ex cons playing for them(and good luck to them),but the cynical attempt over a number of years to cheat the cap suggests its the Board who shld be behind bars(if nothing else but for gross stupidity!)

Wow, how charitable are you? Melbourne surely cant have much better scope under their cap than us. This guy is a potential game changer and if we have let him slip it will be a terrible mistake.

Let's crucify everybody and his dog on the advice of a "mate of a mate" Good one.

Let's wait and see. You may be having a stroke for nothing.

Well this is what happens when you are paying a 33yr old around $1 million next season , well suck it up everyone !

Do you know what the Storm offered? I doubt it.

Even if JAC is gone, which I think is a big if, to blame the club and the coach for a decision based on money is hysterical. Either the Storm offered overs and we couldnt compete or our cap is truly stuffed because of the sins of prior administrations.

The club clearly rates JAC by the fact they signed him and then played him in first grade straight out of NYC.

I remember getting all up in arms when we lost young wingers in the past. I even wrote to the club about losingn Ahmad Bajouri. I was wrong. Wing is one of the easier position in a side to fill. It would be great to keep JAC but it wont mean the difference between us being competitive or not.

Bajouri? :roll That honestly cracked me up! Wouldn't have wasted the cost of a stamp on that bloke.

Disappointing if we have lost JAC, it wasn't his speed that stood out, it was the fact that he could out-jump opposition wingers and actually grab a high ball…..we've never had a winger that could do that in our 17 years.

I know what I read, and we could of signed him for $120k next season before the storm made their play.

I rated him. Mind you we had a pretty poor squad at the time. It wasn't hard to look decent.

In all fairness, we will never know if he would have went onto better things. From memory he retired after a serious car accident.

Okay mate. I read a lot of things. The difference is I critically analyse what I read - I don't simply accept it.

Cmon southern ..it was on the internet so it must be true….

In a forum, by an anonymous person too. Definitely one of those sources you would go to war for. Well I guess we did with Iraq.

Maybe we didn't let him go maybe he decided he didn't want to stay. The chance to play under Craig Bellsmy would tempt any young player

Shhh. That doesn't first with the psychological need of some to blame JT for everything, including ebola.

It's pretty clear that Storm are in the market for a winger after Koro signed with Rebels, so it makes sense they might give JAC a solid offer.
