Addo Carr signs with Storm...

now that it is confirmed that JAC has signed with the storm and Fine has been released, why not just release all the players, and M/S GO and JT and the rest of the board can piss off and go and do something else because it appears u have no idea in running a football team, what a bunch of MORONS.

Did you get a reply from them…

I'm at a loss why the club would not try and hang onto the best winger it has. It's not like we have any wingers setting State Cup and NYC alight.

Ryan Papenhuyzen will be one to watch.

He is a fullback though.

He's been playing wing for U20s with Sharpe at fullback so far.

And he'll probably come through first grade on the wing. Then we'll get our contracts wrong and he'll go to oh let's say the Roosters.

I know, it's the wrong decision too, Ryan P is a better fullback than Sharpe.

As others have already said, if he really wanted to stick around he could have waited a bit longer and tried to prove himself worthy of a contract.

On the contrary you're potentially only ever one tackle away from a career ending injury. He'd be looking to lock up his future quick smart I'd say.

agree with sabre and with you too that he has every right to lock up his future. but that doesn't mean WT have to sign up a winger or "assure" him of a position when he hasn't proven anything in first grade. the storm are willing to do that because they have a good record with developing fringe players into real first graders and they believe in their system.

That exactly how they've been doing it with young playersand look where it's got them
But they are going to have to replace him for next year, doesn't matter now as our seasons over

We need to win every game we can and to do that you have to pick your very best team available. Although JAC will not be with us in 2017, it would be madness to vanish him to reserve grade unless there was some young gun waiting in the wings…and from what I have seen there is nobody banging on the door looking for a wing job

Was a big fan, as I was with big Marty, see ya. If you want to chase dollars and not help a club on the up then I really don't want you here. I'd rather sit bottom table with kids that love this club. Reserve grade for the remainder of the year… Same goes for moses, if he was really going to go to the rorters.

Huge loss. We need to be targeting a quality winger as a priority.

I'd play him until the end of the season assuming he is the best option.

If you had the choice of playing under Bellamy or JT for the same money, which one would you choose?

Bad reflection on the club as The Tigers put up a competitive offer and he chose the Storm because of the Club. Think about it he chose leaving Sydney and relocating to Melbourne for the same coin. It speaks volumes about the rotten culture at our club. The fish rots from the head and in Footy Club terms that's usually the coach.

The numbers ive heard are around the 300k mark on the forum

way overs for a player who could, at best, be a great winger for us. other clubs have more upside because he could end up at fullback there where youd easily pay 500-600k+ if he ends up a great player

we need to invest money in our pack hopefully another second rower like frizell, ryan james etc and a good proven centre to rapdily improve edge defence

That $300k was for 2 years, $120k next year and $180k in 2017, hardly overs.

ahh my bad

yeah probably should have retained him in that case, swap out naiqama and rankin. even so, our pack is a bigger concern in my opinion. its been at least 2 years if not 5 years since we've had a good pack.

people complain about our halves, but their game has always flowed as our pack has moved forward. its not coincidence they played well against the broncos when we kept up with them and they play crap when we got rolllled by the chooks.

You are right though, we could do with a really good secondrower.

If I wanted a bludge job with no accountability i'd go with JT .

If I wanted to prove myself as a professional and constantly improve and play finals footy I'd go with Bellamy

He needs to stay in the NRL until we have a better winger than him. The club needs to win games to move away from the laughing stock tag we carry. He can win us games more than any other outside back we have.

Unless we promote MCK and move Simona to wing, which is possible, but given Naiqama really needs to be dropped i think JAC needs to stay for now.

He won't win us any games if he plays like he did yesterday. Pathetic.

there should be no criticism towards the club at all actually.
they did whatever they could to try and keep him.
**_the way it was described to me was its more of a case of how much he could develop under their coach compared to how scared he was of un-developing under the tigers coach_**
money and winning aside, pretty fare reasoning….....

Why was my post questioning the source of this statement deleted??

Yep, back to reserve grade. No spite but we need as much time as possible to develop someone else in that role. The club has obviously made a forward thinking move by not signing him, so they'd better continue that trend and bring someone else through asap.

They probably don't have a clue who to bring up
That's most likely why he played yesterday,
I haven't heard about any young blokes who are hammering the door down to first grade
It will probably Be our normal non winger, Rankin.
I've got a better idea, put Moses on the wing and move rankin to no 6\. At least one less target in the halves

Well our normal NON winger would have played better than JAC did yesterday.
So it would be an improvement - wouldn't it?!!!
