Addo Carr signs with Storm...

Put him back in Intrust. We are not going to make the eight so we should be playing someone who will be around next year

The numbers ive heard are around the 300k mark on the forum

way overs for a player who could, at best, be a great winger for us. other clubs have more upside because he could end up at fullback there where youd easily pay 500-600k+ if he ends up a great player

we need to invest money in our pack hopefully another second rower like frizell, ryan james etc and a good proven centre to rapdily improve edge defence

there should be no criticism towards the club at all actually.
they did whatever they could to try and keep him.
the way it was described to me was its more of a case of how much he could develop under their coach compared to how scared he was of un-developing under the tigers coach
money and winning aside, pretty fare reasoning….....

Honestly, if i was a player and i was offered a chance to develop under Bellamy and a chance at living in Melbourne i would probably go too.

Yep, back to reserve grade. No spite but we need as much time as possible to develop someone else in that role. The club has obviously made a forward thinking move by not signing him, so they'd better continue that trend and bring someone else through asap.

Maybe they are planning on playing chee kam at centre next year and moving Simona or Naiqama to wing

I just can't understand why they didn't do more to try and keep him here…when he wanted to stay

Totally agree. This would be much more beneficial to the team (second rower, good centre). We do need a solid winger though. Maybe Nofa can find form again? Hopefully.

That $300k was for 2 years, $120k next year and $180k in 2017, hardly overs.

He needs to stay in the NRL until we have a better winger than him. The club needs to win games to move away from the laughing stock tag we carry. He can win us games more than any other outside back we have.

Unless we promote MCK and move Simona to wing, which is possible, but given Naiqama really needs to be dropped i think JAC needs to stay for now.

ahh my bad

yeah probably should have retained him in that case, swap out naiqama and rankin. even so, our pack is a bigger concern in my opinion. its been at least 2 years if not 5 years since we've had a good pack.

people complain about our halves, but their game has always flowed as our pack has moved forward. its not coincidence they played well against the broncos when we kept up with them and they play crap when we got rolllled by the chooks.

The way in which Pascoe worded his statement shows that they know they've done the wrong thing and possibly made a mistake. Defensive, on the back foot because they know anyone with half a brain would think it was a bad idea to let him go. We won't find a better replacement.. I hope JAC was asking for 500K+ because less than that is starting to look value.. Only time will tell.

really 500K for a guy who's played 4 first grade games?
i think im gonna go insane- he's a loss coz currently we don't have any good wingers but honestly, i feel like people are reacting as if we've lost teddy. JAC may go on to be a brett morris or a blake ferguson (at the best), but currently, he's just a state cup player.

I've read Pascoe's statement and I didn't get the feeling that it "shows that they know they've done the wrong thing and possibly made a mistake." To me it just reads that they wanted to keep JAC but weren't prepared to pay overs for him. I applaud them for this.

sideline eye, ur going on what the club wants u to hear. i hear that Jac wanted to sign for a lot less 2 months ago and was told he could look elsewhere.

No, I'm reading a direct statement from our CEO which indidcates that the club is not prepared to pay overs and good on them. Where did you hear that JAC wanted to sign for "a lot less and was told to look elsewhere". What is your source?

What if he has a bonus clause in his contract for playing more than X NRL games. Will not help our cap mess. I think he would have signed with Melbourne when they were trying to get us to release him.

Well if he has a clause, we play him until he is about to activate it.

If we weren't going to play him for the rest of the season, why not let him go now and promote someone else to the top squad?

If we have another winger coming in 2017 for that spot then their is no harm in keepiny him fg to you know try and win games

I'm at a loss why the club would not try and hang onto the best winger it has. It's not like we have any wingers setting State Cup and NYC alight.

Ryan Papenhuyzen will be one to watch.

He is a fullback though.

Just a reminder that swearing is not allowed guys. One member has received a warning for it. Cut it out thanks.

He's been playing wing for U20s with Sharpe at fullback so far.

They probably don't have a clue who to bring up
That's most likely why he played yesterday,
I haven't heard about any young blokes who are hammering the door down to first grade
It will probably Be our normal non winger, Rankin.
I've got a better idea, put Moses on the wing and move rankin to no 6\. At least one less target in the halves
