The question now is do we keep him in NRL and develop him more for the Storm or put him back in Intrust ?

@bobo125 said:there should be no criticism towards the club at all actually.
they did whatever they could to try and keep him.
the way it was described to me was its more of a case of how much he could develop under their coach compared to how scared he was of un-developing under the tigers coach
money and winning aside, pretty fare reasoning….....

way overs for a player who could, at best, be a great winger for us. other clubs have more upside because he could end up at fullback there where youd easily pay 500-600k+ if he ends up a great player
we need to invest money in our pack hopefully another second rower like frizell, ryan james etc and a good proven centre to rapdily improve edge defence

That $300k was for 2 years, $120k next year and $180k in 2017, hardly overs.

Defensive, on the back foot because they know anyone with half a brain would think it was a bad idea to let him go. We won't find a better replacement.. I hope JAC was asking for 500K+ because less than that is starting to look value.. Only time will tell.
really 500K for a guy who's played 4 first grade games?
i think im gonna go insane- he's a loss coz currently we don't have any good wingers but honestly, i feel like people are reacting as if we've lost teddy. JAC may go on to be a brett morris or a blake ferguson (at the best), but currently, he's just a state cup player.
@bp tiger said:sideline eye, ur going on what the club wants u to hear. i hear that Jac wanted to sign for a lot less 2 months ago and was told he could look elsewhere.
@Balmain Boy said:He needs to stay in the NRL until we have a better winger than him. The club needs to win games to move away from the laughing stock tag we carry. He can win us games more than any other outside back we have.
Unless we promote MCK and move Simona to wing, which is possible, but given Naiqama really needs to be dropped i think JAC needs to stay for now.

What if he has a bonus clause in his contract for playing more than X NRL games. Will not help our cap mess. I think he would have signed with Melbourne when they were trying to get us to release him.

Ryan Papenhuyzen will be one to watch.

He is a fullback though.
@Sco77y said:Yep, back to reserve grade. No spite but we need as much time as possible to develop someone else in that role. The club has obviously made a forward thinking move by not signing him, so they'd better continue that trend and bring someone else through asap.
