Addo Carr signs with Storm...

^^ And Broses are already contracted if they take up their option which they seem about to.

JAC is not signed beyond this season right now. Maybe I'm just looking at it from a hopeful angle? TT seems to think his decision is in the balance and we are in the ball park with our offer…

His attitude is really out there - Bellamy could fix that - that's what he is a good at - why do you think Koribete left? JAC is out of Taylor's league.

Koro left because he wasn't getting a go.

Not sure there is anything wrong with his attitude anyway, as long as he puts in at training and on game day there is no need to change it. It seems to be the way we go these days that anyone who has any confidence or character needs to be put in their place, it's really boring.

TT said does amazing things at training. On the field he is talented and enthusiastic both in attack and defence. He seems to appreciate the opportunity to play NRL and thanks the fans at the game for their support. He has acknowledge he wants to make his family proud. he's attitude is a breath of fresh air. What needs fixing?

It will be interesting to see how he goes at the storm if true. Wonder how much 1st grade he will get when they have blokes like Chambers, Scott & Kennar fit and firing. Judging by the outpouring of grief, anyone would think that we have lost the messiah. He has not proven much. We probably should have tried to keep him, but within the available budget given what we have tied up already for next year. 900k Farah, 600k each brooks and Moses, 600k Lawrence, there is 2.7m of a $7m cap. Would assume Woods, Siro, Teddy would be eating up close to another 2m so 2.4m left to sign another 18 players in a 25 man squad. We would need to have a lot of blokes signing for minimum wages

He'll get plenty of first grade playing on the wing. Now that Koro's leaving.
Storm is one club, that apreciates the value of speed in it's players.

JAC has signed a 3 year deal with the storm, I have confirmation from the best mate of JAC's dad that he has signed, not sure when it will be announced though

NOooooooo, :bawling

 that was 6 pages ago Mama….

Fair bit more water has flown ( like Addo scorching down the sideline) under the bridge since...

If JAC leaves I will be filthy. I'm sick of our club being organ donors to the richer clubs. If he leaves it'll just show that we're bottom feeders content with mediocrity.

I watched "Moneyball" again last night and one of the lines I remember is GM Billy Beaney saying: "There's the rich clubs, then there's the poor clubs, then there's fifty feet of crap and then there's us".

Please let's not become that.

JAC was only after $120k next year, and upgrade to $180k the year after TT mentioned, that is pretty damn near minimum next year.

Do you know what the Storm offered? I doubt it.

Even if JAC is gone, which I think is a big if, to blame the club and the coach for a decision based on money is hysterical. Either the Storm offered overs and we couldnt compete or our cap is truly stuffed because of the sins of prior administrations.

The club clearly rates JAC by the fact they signed him and then played him in first grade straight out of NYC.

I remember getting all up in arms when we lost young wingers in the past. I even wrote to the club about losingn Ahmad Bajouri. I was wrong. Wing is one of the easier position in a side to fill. It would be great to keep JAC but it wont mean the difference between us being competitive or not.

Wing might be an easy position to fill ST, but not many wingers show the enthusiasm, that JAC brings to the team or can match his speed. He seems to have that X factor about him.

Gotta laugh how some people want to turn this around and blame the Tigers for not signing him; we DID sign him and were one of few clubs to identify his potential. You'd think that if Taylor is talking about how excited he is to see what he can do for us then he's going to be around first grade for most of the season. Also if the Storm had signed him, we'd know. It'd be publicised and people would be saying its a done deal.

What do you JAC lovers think he's worth though? Realistically? $200k for 2 years if this form continues for mine. He'd only be 22 at the end of it.

200k per year or 100k per year over 2 years? Apparently only asking 150k per year. On that money I'd sign him for 3 years minimum

200k a year. The guy clearly has talent and plenty of it unrealised. With the cap going up its a fair deal. I'd rather overpay slightly if it means keeping him because over the course of the deal it'll look like a pretty good price.

I thought i'd heard that and then thought he must of said his family and friends in Brisbane. Either we have to sign this guy quick smart for the next couple of years.

Nah it was definitely prison. During his post try celebration he put his hand in front of his face with the fingers splayed to symbolise prison bars.
Definitely gotta keep him. He's a Redfern boy (told Fitler during interview) so hopefully he wants to stay near his home and is loyal to us for giving him a shot.

He's moved back home. Lives with his mum and his aunty in Leicharrdt at the moment.

Koro was after the dough, that is why he went to Melbourne and now that is why he has gone to rah rah.

If this guy goes - he is after the dough as well.

He was given a go against the Storm (played average), then he got injured, when fit again he was picked for NRL in the last two games. What does he want????

Now I haven't posted in a very long time, more so lurking around the forum than anything else, but couldn't help myself on this one. Your statement is ridiculous. Sure Koro and JAC are after dough, so is every player, but it's so much more than that.

Koro was blistering NSW Cup week after week but was not being picked for NRL which is what he wanted, as the club figured playing a 40 year old man who would be leaving the following year was the better option. Add to this the fact that Melbourne offered him significantly more money than we did AND the security of a first grade position.. Why would he not leave us!? You'd be stupid not to.

JAC has been tremendous in all 3 of his NRL appearances so far for us and has also been killing it when playing NSW Cup. If he is dropped next week for slow, non performers who are meant to be playing WING like Rankin and Nofoaluma, you cannot blame the kid for wanting to leave. More money at Melbourne and a more secured first grade position. Very interested to see the team selection next week.

We picked Richards over Koro in 2014 and that was a huge mistake.. I have a feeling history may be repeating with Rankin over JAC in 2016.. lets hope it doesn't.

Spot on Pacman. Agree with all of it.

@Tigersmurf said:
Yep Nofo provides a lot of impact. If we are only keeping Rankin there for his goal kicking, when we have the worst percentage in the competition, then I'd prefer he was dropped and Hunt was put there with Moses doing the goal kicking.

Hunt?? 😕 ….JAC instead, please!

If all you guys are as passionate about Josh Addo-Carr why don't you send an email to Justin Pascoe-
I did - we can't keep losing these good players like we have been, doesn't make sense to me :crazy :crazy :crazy

I will, what's the email address?

Mark O'Neill our Football Manager is in charge of all recruitment and retention.

well that's ^ gonna raise his price tag by a few K's.

every young kid nowadays seems to think that they are the best. no one is willing to play a season or two in the state cup to get the experience. then, when they make mistakes in first grade, they sit back and make an excuse of inexperience.

idk if it's the system's fault or the player/manager's. first grade is the pinnacle. you can't expect to get a guaranteed start there if you haven't played and owned lower levels on a regular basis.

rankin may not have the talent of JAC but at least he went away for a few years, got heaps of experience and then came back after being thrown in the deep end early on. rankin or JAC, i honestly dont mind who plays on the wing- a winger is the least of our worries.

we need to reward consistency and hardwork, not just talent.

JAC for me. His speed and chase can stop the opposition from scoring.
And boy oh boy, he can sure leap up high to catch those bombs.
He's a strong boy too. I'm definitely a JAC fan.

I haven't seen anything wrong with his attitude that needs fixing.
Saw him being interviewed and he sounds humble, polite and speaks well.
So far he has played with passion, enthusiasm and is not a dirty player.
Nothing to fix there…
