Addo Carr signs with Storm...

What a joke. Extremely disappointed with this. For those saying you can't pay overs for wingers he wanted 120K for next year. 120K …..

Well we need to recruit 2 wingers for next season now. One position we have absolutely no depth.

That sucks, but also shows a lot of immaturity for a player who's been so unsettled to find a happy place, only to cry about not getting picked straight into first-grade from NYC. This petulance isn't a good quality for a first grader. Sure enough he got his chance soon after and started to play well and was happy once again. But as his agent was no doubt super quick to find him a new club and he just took it straight away without showing any patience or gratitude to the club.

If he is so arrogant, and has significant troubles in his personal life then he could become another one of those wasted talents. Although if any coach can get him straight it's probably Bellamy.

Yuck post.
The very definition of sour grapes.

2 wingers, 1 centre, a 5/8, a halfback, 2 second rowers, a prop and 3 good bench players.

Apart from that we're in pretty good shape.

Ha! Wish that were a joke!

We will replace him with ET , move him from back row to hooker then on to the wing ,it's perfect , we can then move Lovett to the centres move Teddy to the back row and put Rankin back to fullback

Or Has this club got something up its sleeve for next season
Cleary to become coach
Farah to move on
Sirro to move on
Josh to move on
Fine to move on
That would give us about 1.4 million to spend on 3 good solid players

Cleary looking at his replacement players, ( winger , Centre , back row , ) now for next year 3 x 350k = $ 1.050 million and we have $ 350 up our sleeve for a sneaky purchase early in the season when players get dumped , see it's not all bad

Sad to see him go but personally I am happy that the club has reached a point whereby they won't over pay for potential. We got ourselves into a mess by doing that and I respect that we made what we see as a fair offer and didn't go further

I am not buying the Pascoe spin on it, we put in a competitive offer, Melbourne don't overs pay for rookies or non rep players, that to me is code for we were to slow getting our act together and this is our excuse.

It is true, we have zero depth at wing, we have Nofa who many want sent packing, then JAC who is gone and god forbid another season of Rankin on the wing, that would really do my head in.
You need 2 wingers to run out every week, as it stands now we do not have these said wingers, and we could have had one for $120k next season signed ages ago, but no we just sat around and hoped he would sign on for minimum wage of $80 odd thousand. :bash

Forrest > trees.

How many 20 year olds sign with a club, is pushing for first grade only to sign with another club 6 weeks into the season because he didn't start straight away? He couldn't wait even half a season to wait and see if he'd get a shot? That's petulance right there. Few kids walk straight into first grade and he should have been patient enough to wait for his chance, especially if he was a die hard Tigers supporter.

He came out in the media saying how he felt settled for the first time in his life and it was really benefiting his football, only to then turn around and move 1000km away and de-stablilise himself again. Hardly sounds like a mature decision making process.

The Storm are a more professional club, no doubt, but it's a massive risk he's taking moving away from his family.

Yeah, it feels like a botched negotiation from our side

If Krayola is the real deal sounds like we were never interested in hanging on to him.

Deplorable if that's the case. The kid wasn't asking much, he wanted to play for his childhood club, and that's how we handle it?

While part of me is upset we didnt re sign him, the other part is starting to think that if he really wanted to stay he could of from the beginning. What the avarage lifespan of a storm winger, 2 seasons? If he isnt regretting his decision yet he sure will be

I have to agree CB and I've said it all in my previous post. 120K is chicken feed when you compare it to what our two halves are on, even if it's 'just for a winger'.

As long as we made him an offer I'm happy…he has chosen his destiny...I'm happy for him....

What I am sick of is paying overs to keep/attract players.

now that it is confirmed that JAC has signed with the storm and Fine has been released, why not just release all the players, and M/S GO and JT and the rest of the board can piss off and go and do something else because it appears u have no idea in running a football team, what a bunch of MORONS.

As I've just said, Tigerap, 120k is probably 'unders' for a player of JAC's potential/ marketability and with players like him we are probably more likely to attract other quality players such as a decent, organizing first grade halfback…..

He'll be just fine in Melbourne. He'll have lots of support there. They have a strong leadership group there and will look after him on and off the field.
A star in the making, i hope. I wish him well.

Some say " a winger is a dollar and a dime" Wingers in Koro's and JAC's caliber, they're far and few in between.
So what does our club do? Sends them packing off to Melbourne. What a joke.

i havent read through everything, but i dont see this as a big loss yet. he had the "potential" but you can't go spending big on everyone who comes through the door with potential.

yesterday, his positioning in attack and his lack of meters coming out of our own half were very disappointing. you need your wingers to make meters out of dummy half.

hopefully, he achieves what he wants at storm- that's probably the best place for any player to achieve their best. good luck JAC.
