I don’t understand the hate for AJ but it is a massive letdown after thinking for a while we were well within a shot for LM. If true LM is almost 100% not happening though, no?

We are a danger to ourselves when we have cap space. We will give him 500k and Pascoe will try dress this up as a big win for the club. Why not just hold our money and try get an actual star.

Running out of time. We need to fill our roster and spend money to reach the minimum amount in the cap. If we can’t land a superstar, we have to go the next rung down. If we’re signing AJ, you just hope he’s not the only one.

That’s still a GREY area for me. What are the ramifications if they don’t spend the cap and is the fact they ( west’s ) have been active but unsuccessful in landing players is that taken into account? It’s not slave trading. If they don’t want to come the club can’t force them right?

I’d rather see us promote you guys and front load contracts than waste money on average players just because we need to fill a few spots.

By the end of March we need to fill our roster. There will be plenty of other opportunities between now and then. We don't need to go helping other clubs out...

The Weststigers are the Hyenas of the NRL scrounging around the playing fields of the other NRL clubs picking up any scrapes that are available .
Unfortunately guys our club has a long way to go to establish itself as a destination for top flight players . Johnston is a low rent fullback not any better than the club already has.. the club is desperate to sign any one that will come,,,will Johnston take the team to the next level👎.

Are you just hedging your bets here? First we're getting Mitchell, then JAC's a sure thing and now we're signing Johnson? Which one is it? Surely not all 3.

If it turns out we only get Johnson I think I'll have to take long walk off a short pier. Apart from having a bit of speed Johnson is bog average! It will end up being just another Jennings-like signing, imo. I thought we were supposed to be moving on from buying these sort of players. Madge's old Souths connections 😔
