Alex Seyfarth #232

outrage innuendo sarcasms and outright fib's
Lucky we have him ,
Had a bubby ,close to home - Town of N Z offered him more,n longer deal
All hale Seyfarth

Seyfarth is one player gives his all.

No surprise Benji has him in the leadership group.

Great squad player.

For all the criticism he gets on here his high workrate would have him on the bench in the 17 each week imho.It is only our poor depth that has had him starting.I have always said i don't believe he is a starter but one of the first players i would have on the bench. He gives everything and not costing a fortune.

It's GEL

One thing that has consistently pissed me off is the changes in our team. Particularly the backs.
You get a Center, a 2rf that know their positions well and the spine knowing that they are there... they will score.

Easts, Manly and quite a few teams know this well. Get good combinations going between players.

No look passes work when you don't need to look to see who is playing next to you!

It's not even new to this club. Farah and Fulton had a move called "bread n Butter" Farah would pass out of dummy half knowing that Fulton would be looking for the ball.

Seyfarth can do this. He has had a poor 2025, but he was also a starting 2RF for most of it. The role was too much for him. However as a bench forward he isn't a bad option, and an option who has played along side AD, Api and the team.

The more combinations we get going, the higher up the ladder we will travel.
One thing is for sure, whenever we have to reshuffle the backline during a game and put someone in the centres, we get pounded... The best case in point being the game at leichardt vs the cowboys when Fainu went to centre..

There was another game we crumbled this year too in similar circumstances.

Then other games when we had Naden at centre we were also quite vulnerable

What a day or so on the forum. Our British international right edge signing in KPP doesn't deserve to be classed as an international, and Seyfarth is good enough to push Samuela into the middle.

Seriously, WTF!
Seyfarth is a much better defender then Sam & that way it allows Sam to move to the middle & be the pack leader we are missing.

Lol you have used the most cherry picked stats imaginable

LMAO so total and average metres, total and average tackles, missed tackles, minutes per game, LB, TB, Offloads (totals and averages) are cherry picked stats? Go on, you dense fool, enlighten everyone how using just about every standard metric for a second rower is cherry-picking?

Should I have included games thrown due to poor discipline? Because I guess that’s one stat he’d be right at the top for.

Congratulations, you’re officially the dunce of the forum for November and we’re not even halfway through.

Imagining stanning for a player who has shown little to no improvement over 4-5 seasons under 3 coaches, has actually cost us games out of sheer ill-discipline, and has little to no impact in attack.

And in the same breath, these idiots will say our forward pack is not up to scratch but always argue for his inclusion in the team 🤣

Seyfarth did an admirable job those opening 10 games. Galvin blew up that whole right edge & he suffered as a result.

You are welcome to believe whatever is going on with your eyes and synapses, though I don't recall anyone else on the forum forming that opinion, and that is before statistics come into it. I would argue that the similarly unsuited Sione brought better performances.

Alex has a role to play, but that is not as a first choice edge and definitely not pushing Samuela off the left side.

At best a bench warmer and probably spend a lot of the Season in KOE unless we cop an injury toll.

Just don't get the love, his dumb brain explosions have cost us games, we have some depth now he will have to fight hard to get in the team.

I hope that Alex plays a bit of KOE, though mainly because that will mean someone more worthy will have forced their way ahead of him on the bench.
Would also much prefer him if he could find the right balance of controlled aggression, which is something we lack and he can really rile up oppositions.

That's the problem Tim he's had seasons to real it in but we're still waiting, the new recruits will be chomping at the bit to impress this summer and break into the team.

He will have his work cut out for himself.

The best Seyfarth’s position is either to join Nofoaluma or to watch a grass grow on Antarctica!

He will play a role off the bench he is the least of our problems

He literally cost us a game against the Warriors this season with one of his dumb penalties, and he’s good for at least one of those every game. He is absolutely one of our more pressing problems, hopefully less so with KPP starting.

Any team with Seyfarth in the 17 (outside of injuries) are not serious about competing.
