Alex Twal #206

Twal is bog average, a great reserve grade forward. He runs like a grandma and the word offload is not in his vocabulary. He can tackle wow, he is a bloody forward if he couldn't do that what could he do. Needs to be shipped off at the end of the year.
Agree. He is coming off a longer run up now but still gets stopped at the line. He is in good company.

There is a reason he has never scored a try, it's because he just doesn't push through the line.

He is a prop size body, plays like a lock however he isn't fast or have the ball skills to be a lock.

Never seen someone run hard from the back fence then totally stop before the line and then get pushed back every time.

It's great he can make a tackle but he is a prop and we need him to make meters, something he sucks at.

The reality of how bad things are is that currently he is our 3rd or 4th best prop behind Stefano, Tamou and Musgrove, next year currently he will become our 2nd or 3rd best option.

Part of the reason why we have no go forward.

A nothing player with zero impact.
Sadly, this is very true.

Runs at the line with the impact of a pillow.

Never stings in any tackles.

He has to be given ONE single role...and that is, go out there for 80 and chase every single thing that moves. Zero impact, but chase everything for 80.

He is the WORST POSSIBLE BLOKE to have on the bench...and yet the coach picks him there.

Almost unbelievable. He is either 80 mins or nothing.

I agree that he should start, and he's a prop only in my opinion. No way he's a modern game lock.

Most here were critical of eisenhuth with similar arguments made against twal, yet he plays well at Penrith. I think you all underappreciate twal and also how difficult it is to have impact on a team getting dominated. He does the little things right like tackling well and avoiding errors and getting good play the balls which others on our team can't match.

Coach has definitely told him not to offload because he often has his hands free and doesn't pass. This would be an aspect of his game that should be developed.

Every changing environment of the game Mr.

Seems Sheens won't ever be the actual coach but will be involved across the club, perhaps even overseeing and mentoring of a new younger coach... in Johnny Morris, I hope.

What are your thoughts?
You like Maguire?
You want him to continue employed in head coach role?

Simple yes or no would he appreciated.

The other thing that doesn't help any of our forwards is whenever they make a hit up there's hardly ever anyone pushing up with them in support so they're just sitting ducks.
And our backs do nothing to help them out, that’s if they manage to field the kick without dropping it.

Ineptness of the playing group not understanding the fundamentals of the game...
Always support the ball carrier, control the ball, you cant win the game without the ball, our blokes seem to hand it over at will, stupid penalties, dumb mistakes and seasoned NRL players forward passing or watching the ball roll over the sideline...
