Alex Twal said he and his teammates are excited for the challenge of being relocated to Brisbane for at least the next month. Twal expressed his gratitude of still being able to play the game he loves and said the move to Brisbane gives the Wests Tigers players a good opportunity to bond together.
“It’s been a pretty smooth transition coming from New South Wales and all the boys are taking it in their strides,” Twal said.
“There’s a lot of gratitude. The boys are really happy for the game to be still going ahead considering the situation NSW are in at the moment.
“We’re just coming off the bye, so it’s a great time for us to rally around each other. We’ve gone away from footy for a week and the boys have come back with a positive mindset.”
Maguire’s men will look to snap a three-game losing streak on Sunday afternoon, and although they’re facing the 15th-placed Broncos, Twal is expecting a tough contest.
“They’re a classy outfit with a lot of good players in their team,” he said.
“Kotoni Staggs has just got back and they’ve got a lot of other tremendous players, so we’re going to have our work cut out for us this week — we’re expecting it to be a really good clash.”
