Good, leave them in until they give a reason to be left out or others demand their way in through form.

100%. You have to fight your way in.

And that's what's been the biggest problem with our team selections the past few years, favourites just being automatically selected regardless of form or if there was someone better knocking on the door. I'm looking forward to players earning their spot in the starting 17 and fighting every game to keep it.

Wrong. The biggest problem with team selections has been the mismanaged cap.

Ok, second biggest problem then.

Both he and Eisenhuth looked comfortable out there.

Squads looking better for 2018 by the day.

Like many, I've been waiting for a couple more forwards signings. Now I'm starting to think things aint looking bad.

Hopefully after the bye we can see something like this against Manly.

1\. James Tedesco
2\. David Nofoaluma
3\. Esan Marsters
4\. Moses Suli
5\. Kevin Naiqama
6\. Tuimoala Lolohea
7\. Luke Brooks
8\. Aaron Woods (capt.)
9\. Matt McIlwrick
10\. Ava Seumanufagai
11\. Chris Lawrence
12\. Elijah Taylor
13\. Sauaso Sue

14\. Matt Eisenhuth
15\. Josh Aloiai
16\. Jacob Liddle
17\. Alex Twal

Good team.

Only change I would make: MWZ for Kev

I didn't get to see the game, overseas.
Sounds like he had a good start to his career at WT, was told by friend that he is a real talent (see my original post when he signed).

Gives Cleary some headache's when Grant is fit…

Both Eisenhuth and Twal will be hard to leave out based on their performances thus far...

Congrats Alex..

Indeed. Grant has a good motor and experience but as you say, Eisenhuth has been impressive thus far, excellent workrate and Twal was also impressive. With Rowdy and Aloiai due to return soon, Cleary is now starting to have a bit more depth at his disposal.

Hopefully this means less of Lovett.

Very impressed by his debut, I can see that all the good reports about him are true, just good to see him have a go & play really well. Well done.

Twal's performance yesterday IMO is already ahead of Felise. Felise still has potential and his first few games were pretty good too, but to put a kid out in his debut, give him 40 mins and he makes 100m, misses 0 tackles, that's special in my book.

Play him off the bench for rest of the year and see what level he can maintain, but I can't see Felise getting in front of him right now. In fact honestly can't even see Tim Grant ahead of Eisenhuth or Twal right now, he's an experienced campaigner but doesn't do anything these young blokes cannot do, be it hitups, defence or minutes, Grant is just a bit more wily.

Hey sorry guys a bit off topic but does anyone know how I can watch the full game replay other than on Foxtel and the NRL app. Thanks.

Too busy doing your crosswords in the coaches box again yesterday?

:brick: HAHAHAHHA I knew one of u would come up with one of these cheeky comments

Buying a couple of young second row forwards on the cusp of NRL selection with a similar rep history to Twal would be good for us. Jack Murchie, who plays for the Raiders, but is from the far south coast is a good option.

Happy with Twal's debut last week. Carried the same work rate as he has in the lower grades which proves he's got what it takes to play at this level. I'm really not sure why Parra didn't try harder to keep the kid. Then again we've seen that before from the Eels.

Sharks' supporters are getting worked up about Ava and his stats which are a significant upgrade on Tagatese.. He is a good player but he has chosen to leave. I think young Twal may has him covered which is a great win for WTs.

Yep, sorry to see Ava go but young Alex looks good.
