For me if Twal is playing lock, it enables him to give more focus to his defending and some less concern to his meterage. It sounds silly, but most forwards can only concentrate properly on one thing at a time, so either they are all about getting the ball and crossing the advantage line, or they dilute their involvement a notch and put extra effort into the defensive phase.
What I would like to see is Twal go for more hitman in his defensive game, because I think he has it in him. Someone like Dale Finucane excels at not only being involved all around the park, but particularly working with defensive intent to pin down opposition attackers. It really puts a bullet into a set of six of you can really try to predict the play and nail one of the opposition forwards mid-count.
I'm also led to believe that Twal has a fair passing game, though Buddha only knows if Maguire will let him use it. Knowing Madge, probably not!
