Was absolutely superb last night, had worries with Twal the last 18 months as imo he has been poor and hasn’t hit those levels he had during the Cleary era as he barely ran the ball and lacked much impact.
However, you can tell he wants to make more of an impact attacking wise and looked really hungry for the ball which we’ve never really seen from him and he carved there forwards up with the metres he was making! Really inspiring game from him, played like our forward leader and seems like he’s developing his game to the player we all know he can be!
Liking what I saw, could play himself into an origin squad if he can continue to contribute to his attack game and not rely solely on his defence....
He's our best forward
⭐
I know you show big love for your Lebanese Demps, But that statement is ridiculous.
He's our most consistent - Nothing more.
He's never been our best by any reckoning....
I know as fact, Most other top forwards in the game don't rate him at all, not hard to tackle, doesn't hit in Defence, No aggression, Nothing to worry about in attack... He's so 1 dimensional its not funny....
Great guy, Works hard, I Love him to bits... But he's coming into his 6th year in Grade and has added absolutely nothing to his game - Bar minutes played.
If he's our "best" forward, Then you best not worry bagging any of the other players - ever... Because we're going nowhere if he's our best forward, No matter who the halfback is.
He should be a bench prop, That's his best position - At any other club, He might not even be that....
He's my first picked every week. He's a workhorse a d effective on defence, and while a bit one dimensional with the ball he also works hard on the ball. If every player did the basics as well as he did we wouldn't have missed the eight for a decade.
Not every forward is a Payne Haas or TPJ. Guys like Real have their place and are equally as important.
Agree.
Him and Stef are the mainstays at present.
Obviously Batboy is personal friends with the majority of forwards in the game, or did a survey, to know as a fact 'Most other top forwards in the game don't rate him at all'.
Yes... Well done...
You're comments here confirm what I have long suspected...
I don't need to do a survey, Or be friends with anyone....
I could've asked a couple at the pub - And they could have let me know the general opinions of him.
I could have even done that a few times!!
20 years ago in the game, There were those players that tackle everything and were mainstays of a pack.... Modern day, Those same players dint the line, set up tries - even kick field goals..
Again, I have no issue with Twal being in the 17... But if we're picking a pack around him - I have an issue with that.
So, in other words, you have nothing but your own opinion to back up your story … when you categorically stated that you can say “for a fact” what the majority of NRL forwards think of him.
Your comments here are now fully confirmed to be as I expected.
Well done!
You’re on fire - scratch and sniff sticker for you!!
Now let me break it down for you…
No - it’s none of your business who I know or who I talk to…
I never said it was any of my business.
I have no qualms with you having an opinion on anything you like and don’t care who you talk to.
You were the one that making the big claims ….without a skerrick of evidence when questioned.
I don't need evidence of who my friends are, And at what level of the game they're involved at.... Not for anyone (Particularly a forum bot)
If it wasn't factual, I wouldn't have said it - I'm not here for clout....
And I'm certainly not about to name drop... Despite you trying to coerce me to with your school kid malarky...
Here's something you might fathom....
Has there ever been any talk of Alex Twal off to another club? He's resigned how many times?
First picked forwards for other clubs are sounded out by "better" clubs when off contract.... Case in point, Stefano being sounded out by the Storm 1 year into a 3 year contract... Dale Finucane etc, etc, etc...
Twal is our Liam Fulton... We all love him, No one else knows who he is.
