Aloiai

What a basket case WT are becoming. Need to find a solution fast or we are just continue to be a stepping stone and development club for stronger clubs. Another offseason another player wants to leave. Ground Hog day.

You must be new, we’ve been a basket case for 8 years

Something doesnt add up here.

Aloiai has never come across as a knob.

If its true really disappointing and id never look at him the same way again.

You can't always blame the player. I'm not blaming management in anyway. It's just frustrating. We are running uphill each time.

This is it, and it will take years to improve but i believe the process is underway. Any major change is going to cause significant pain especially a culture change.
We may not see the results of this 'madge' path for a few years.
What we need to hope is at the end of it we are a constantly competitive team.

I actually believe Madge will be moved on before we win another premiership but will of layed the groundwork and foundation for our (hopeful) successful run in the future.

Cleary something’s wrong with management is multiple players every year run to the media to make us look bad and push for releases. It happens to us more than ANYONE. We need to get rid of all the board and everyone else and start over

Imo, there are issues with the coach too mate...

Not every player likes him that’s fair enough but this has been happening well before Madge was here too

I reckon being mates with Matterson would rub off on you pretty damn quick.

He's never had a season where he has played well enough to seriously register on any other club's radar before. It's just naked greed, don't overthink it. Temptation exposes character flaws - I'm sure his book could tell him that.

This is why this club is improving, yet many on here (possibly Rothfield with 20 different accounts) refuse to accept.

Lee Hagipantelis - “In my view he has a contract with the Wests Tigers which he will fulfil in 2021 unless I can leverage a commercial advantage for the club. The days of players, or others, thinking that they can use the Wests Tigers as a stepping stone are over.”

if that doesn't give you a semi, then you arent a WT supporter.

HAHAH this makes me laugh. Have heard it all before.

"Commercial advantage", imagine how you'd feel if you were Aloiai.

If it's all indeed true and he wants to allegedly default on the contract, why would you feel anything for him?

He isn't the first player to do that to us this year. The question is why?

Players with 100 games under their belt are rare these days. Again, we are falling short somewhere where players don't want to be with us.

Wasn't he to have a meeting this week according to his mate? Obviously not happening now.

I am starting to agree about how the managers are looking like manipulating the players to there will.

I wonder if the bloke who was giving sad stories about Josh was in fact a player in all this.

I hope the clubs holds it's ground with a like for like scenario or he stays.

Does it happen to us more? There are two instances I can think of and they happen to be best mates as well - Matto and Aloiai. Who else agitated for a release? Moses? Different case as we w/d his contract.

AFB got a release from Manly, JAC asked for one from Storm, Frizell turned his back on Dragons, Holmes walked out on Cronulla; that's without even thinking about it too hard. Seems to happen too often in general.

Maybe we are starting to see who the cancerous players are within the ranks. Keep weeding them out Madge.
