If it's true he said he will never wear our jersey again, when he is contracted to us, that is a dog act.

It happens to us more than ANYONE. We need to get rid of all the board and everyone else and start over
Does it happen to us more? There are two instances I can think of and they happen to be best mates as well - Matto and Aloiai. Who else agitated for a release? Moses? Different case as we w/d his contract.
AFB got a release from Manly, JAC asked for one from Storm, Frizell turned his back on Dragons, Holmes walked out on Cronulla; that's without even thinking about it too hard. Seems to happen too often in general.

Josh and his agent met with the club to discuss an extension soon after the final round of the season. Josh indicated his intention to re-sign with the club as it was indicated that he would get an upgraded deal. While the club was working on the deal, Manly approached Joshs management and offered a 3 year deal worth $2 million starting next season.
The real issue is the way it has been handled from this point with false narratives pushed both on this forum and on social, whether that be from Josh or by third parties. Deadlines which were taken out of context and low ball offers from the club that did not happen to present a false narrative that the club was treating the player poorly.
The reality is simple, Josh was prepared to re-sign until Manly offered a huge contract which included 2021. Rather than just owning the fact that he change his mind and going back on his initial decision (which is fine, nothing was signed), a false narrative was pushed to make it seem like the club was treating the player poorly.

Lee Hagipantelis - “In my view he has a contract with the Wests Tigers which he will fulfil in 2021 unless I can leverage a commercial advantage for the club. The days of players, or others, thinking that they can use the Wests Tigers as a stepping stone are over.”
if that doesn't give you a semi, then you arent a WT supporter.
HAHAH this makes me laugh. Have heard it all before.
"Commercial advantage", imagine how you'd feel if you were Aloiai.
If it's all indeed true and he wants to allegedly default on the contract, why would you feel anything for him?
He isn't the first player to do that to us this year. The question is why?
Players with 100 games under their belt are rare these days. Again, we are falling short somewhere where players don't want to be with us.

Yeah, if he refuses to play the club should make him sit out next year with no football. Don't release him. His contract was low enough that it won't be a huge impact.
Actions like this need to have impacting consequences
