Wow . Aloiai is a moron ! Seriously . What a peanut . Maybe insideman was onto something when he said Aloiai was disliked . This goes to my earlier post , about how for a sport full of young men who want to claim “it’s a business “ , they sure don’t know what that actually means . In US sports you can get traded from LA to Cleveland in the middle of winter , and you have to take your licks . For those who don’t know , that’s like going from Brisbane type weather to extreme cold and snow , and a city that is infamous for not much to do . The worst thing you might get is frowning face on Instagram . Not this childish garbage . I think he’s agitated himself into a fine . A year is a long time in footy . Especially if the contract is only fill if he comes next year . Think about who the best prop was in the game end of last year . Lodge ? TPJ ? Brisbane can’t give thier contracts away now .

This is what Josh has posted...This is your employer, the guys paying you 350k a year to play a sport most of us can only dream of.

I've heard that Aloiai wasn't happy with how the club treated Matt Eisenhuth (his best mate) this year.

OK. JA wants out of his contract for 2021 and has started behaving like a brat to get his way a la Matterson. As far as I'm aware Daine Laurie has not been announced as signing for WT from 2022 although rumours are saying that he has agreed to terms. Laurie has not made any demands of Penrith as far as we are aware nor has he declared he'll never wear the jersey again. I'd imagine WT would like to have him for next year and will negotiate with Penrith to that end. Penrith can agree to a release if they choose. This is similar to Wests trying, in vain, to get Stefano from the Eels this year. Parra were within their rights to refuse.

It's sort of funny how we are screaming for Aloiai to honour his 2021 contract and rightly so with the right hand while secretly fist pumping the air should Laurie be able to obtain a release and join us for 2021 with the left..

Oh, so Laurie's and Alioa's actions are poles apart. No argument there. I meant us wanting a player to leave a club early on his contract is the same as what other clubs are doing.

I would take a clean swap for Schuster. He is going to be something special I think. I like the way the chairman is handling this, especially his reference to players suddenly pulling the mental tag - just so they can get more money.

Dunno about Schuster, but it could be an opportunity to get a promising player and free up some salary cap space.

I don't recall Taupau pulling this nonsense? I know he was released but I recall he asked to be released early, he did not make threats or carry on in the media.

Same with Blake Austin, he signed in advance and asked to go early.

More that he was under contract and got out of it to get a higher paying contract. It may not have played out in public but it was from the same playbook.
