Alright, I've finally had enough. Answer this?

Tell me now, who on this forum is content with our ridiculous run since 2005? Anyone who believes we would have won it all last year is dreaming. We fluked so many come from behind wins it wasn't funny. Now answer this- why when the front office finally does something about it do we all go into idiot mode? I make no excuses, I despise all the B/S the front office has fed us contradicting themselves about player movement, however I think people are starting to get a bit precious about all this. I can see and I'm sure you all can too that this team is and has been stagnant for the last few years. At least change is coming. Who's to say that the foresight of the recruitment isn't going to work? Personally I'm freaking excited about next year, finally a lot of players who everyone keeps screaming about in reserve grade will finally get a shot. I know he may not be popular at the moment but Sheens isn't stupid. Give the man a break. He has stood by his convictions, anyone who comes out and shows the passion he did at last weeks press conference obviously cares about the players and the team. I'm sick of hearing people bash my team, and some of the stupid posts about so called fans threatening to abandon this team. Go!!! Were better off without you. I may not agree with you all some or most of the time, but screw this, let's get back to talking footy and leave all the other crap for the mods to deal with. Let's start by guessing how much we will spank the dirty cowgirls by this week? :wahoo:

you could say there is more than one way to skin a cat.

whenever there is change there will always be debate on how you do it.
the first thing when you fill a roster under a salary cap is that you have to make certain compromises.
you can't fill every position with the best player in that position.
so you have to balance out where the bulk of your money goes and make the compromise between strengths and weaknesses at every position.

it is the compromise that causes alot of the friction.for us it is easy to point the finger because there will always be weakness in your squad.
it is then up to the coaches and players to work together to limit the damage caused by these weaknesses.
with this being a forum, compromise is the last thing you expect from fans.

when you consistently struggle to make the 8,you can't fault the fans that doubt the ones that consistently fail under the current rules.

Exactly the reason I'm excited about next year. I agree with everything you just said especially about failing under the current rules. Much more productive looking at the positives though in light of all the negative crap being spouted lately.

My point with this every club is playing under the same rules and changes . They have adapted to them far better than we have . Who's responsibility is it that we adapt . Not the players , its the coaching staff .

Hey, wait a minute….I really enjoyed the end of last season and seem to remember going to a final where the Tigers missed the grand final by 1 point!!!!! The Tigers stormed the back end of 2010, and the only nightmare part was the scrum!!!!!!!!!

Well done bonstonker, Is there any chance someone may be able to put together a graph/table showing how many games a player has played and when this season. This may well explain our performances this year. I am still surprised that we are even in the hunt for a finals birth. Every time a high paid player returns from injury another one gets injured. Our injuries have been severe and to Tim Sheens credit, he never uses this as an excuse. (I certainly would) I remember against the Dogs the other week, we had about $1.5 million sitting on the sideline and people blowing up that we did not win. I think a graph/chart of this sort just might put this season into perspective. Well done Mr Sheens and players for still having us somewhere near the top eight. Keep on battling boys.

Injuries are part & parcel of NRL-every club suffers every year.Several clubs are worse off than us(eg Souths),several better..every position shld have a contingency plan
What really annoyed me about the Dogs match was how clueless we were in attack,& how easily the folowing week the Storm showed the Dogs vulnerabilities.Bellamy demonstrated what a real coach does in both dissecting the opposition, developing & excecuting a strategy a little more sophisticated than our perrenial favorite, the "hot potato"

Yeah he got The "Hot potato "off our No 1 Fan . Next week he can try the "cold spaghetti" or the "Fruit salad"

Which teams have adapted better then us that wernt already a better team.

The players have to adapt to the changes just as much as the coaching staff.

Nice Wiggles reference there, but I'd say some Split Enz would be more appropriate:

* There's a Fraction To Much Friction (although this was Tim Finn only when he started to embark on a solo career)
Another Great Divide
What's The Matter With You
History Never Repeats
Hard Act To Follow
Six Months In A Leaky Boat

I Walk Away

I love comparing Bellamy and Sheens particularly as his spine consists of Slater, Cronk, Smith. Hard not to build a team around those 3 don't you think? Close to the 3 best players in the world in their respective positions.

All teams need luck to win games. The Tigers are no exception.

With our present roster, we had a team capable of winning the comp in 2010 but unfortunately the "luck" went with the Dragons.

In 2009 we again had a team capable of winning the comp. How quickly we forget That Parra game with the injury to TT and Ryan in the 1st half and we still came close to winning against the Hayne-Train led Eels that played in the grand-final against the cheats. The luck was with them and everyone knew or said it was them or us that year.

To say that we have had a bad run since 2005 is absurd.

Its what Bellamy brings to the development of almost every other player outside his "big three"that is the key difference to Sheens, plus as I said earlier Bellamy's strategic analysis of the opposition & development of individually targetted game plans.
We seem to have the same game plan for 26 weeks each season IMO…apart from "hot potato",theres also,& I almost forgot ... "lets give it to Benji"..
The only creativity Sheens demostrates is the different spin invented each season to deflect his chronic lack of success..this years "player instability" (caused entirely by himself I mite add)gets full marks for novelty , uniqueness & originality!
Only 3.3 years to go...
