Anasta signs with Wests Tigers for 2 years

With both Robbie and Anasta on NRL on fox tonight this possibility didn't even rate a mention

Yeah would be a good signing he cops a bad wrap to be honest.

Well tell us Smoker.
has he signed? or are they not discussing around the lunch table.

you watch some of the forumers start tabling next years side with anasta in it .

he's still a git

interesting noone mentioned it on nrl on fox. Anyone know how early the show is recorded?

Maybe he was feeling stale at the Roosters, and a change might be a good thing for him and the Tigers.

I disliked him at the Doggies, and at the Roosters, but mainly due to his ability when he pulled his finger out. Couldn't hurt having him in the team.

So this is our answer to replace Ellis? or are we getting rid of Rhino or Benji to sign yet another washed up player?

We never ever sign players in their prime of their carerrs

We signed Blair.

I'd say Ellis was at his prime as is Blair but when you have to keep the likes of Benji, Farah, Lawrence etc it doesn't leave a lot in the bank for too many "prime" stars. That's why we are always signing untried or fringe first graders on low dollars. That's why we have periods like this - no Farah, Benji not on his game and no-one else stepping up. The fringe guys are fringe guys because they don't step up. We signed Bell from Penrith to be a backup for the front row and now Galloway is injured early in the season AGAIN and the 2 young guys have been found out and now Bell's in the starting team (of which he isn't too familiar)

LOL! and so far where has that great signing got us??

instead of going after washed up players like Mason Anasta might have been a good idea to go after Cronk and clean out a few other players. then we would be top 4 for the next 5 years.

but nah where better off signing washed up players a few fringe first grade wingers to sit on the bench and give a overrated no 11 500k

You took the bait there Golden
I do agree we , more than any team , seem to find has beens.
Works one in fifty (Utai was worth the dough we paid him) but usually you end up with a big fat nothing!

Definitely not against this. I may've spent large parts of his career paying him out but he's tidy player. Good leadership qualities as well. He would fit into the image the club is trying to uphold too. I guess lock is the obvious position, Heighington and Blair in the second row.

x2
he gives it his all. he'd slot well into our side.
sign him now!

im hoping this isnt true that we've signed him. the guy is past his best and he doesnt even like playing lock, he still harbors massive fantasies of leading the team from his old position of 5/8.

Lote has been the only backend career player signing to work, because he has something to prove returning to the NRL. Anasta publicly stated he wants to finish his career at the Roosters so mentally can't see him putting in at the same intensity he does now, Satts was the same, should have retired with the Panthers. Think Anasta's more interested in life after football than putting his body on the line for the Tiges for the next two years.

Here we go again.
Welcome to The Wests Tigers retirement village.
come on please don't tell me that this is true.
If we should be chasing anyone from the roosters why not Mitchell Pearce????
