Anasta signs with Wests Tigers for 2 years

Hey Pom you are right Heino is contracted for next season but so was Gibbs for your info, so contracts mean bugger all if you hadnt noticed.

With Ellis going t wouldn't hurt to have some experience in the forwards if we are running with a few young blokes ie Woods Groat BMM and perhaps another, in the ruck. So at #13 though, not #6.

Not sure if Anasta is perfect but is a professional and could be a good fit.

Well if he was meant to be gone it would of happened by now, they would of cut him loose last year when this s@#T storm the first time, there not going to go through is again just for Anasta for you info !

What i am saying pom is you are right about him having a contract but these days they dont mean much, also peoples opinions of Heino seemed to of changed a fair bit & would there be a big fuss if they did move him on & i am not saying move him on for Anasta.

I dont c y peoples opinion of him has changed. He was one of our best on monday night. Leaves everything on the field and gives 100% each week, I'd want to c him stay for his whole career as unlikly as that would be. But i wouldn't trade him for any other lock/Back-row in the comp to be honest.

He would be a good signing for the tigers as a 5/8 and put benji at halfback.

I agree Egg. He's played for NSW and Australia (I think). He's a tough, fierce competitor and has been in plenty of big matches so knows how to close out games. And he tackles. I've been critical about his attitude towards opposing teams when he loses, but nothing wrong with hating losing. Robbie probably falls into the same category. Won't replace Ellis but who can?

We are losing a very experienced player in Ellis and maybe Heighington (if he is let go)

Braith has played 235 games with 82 tries. 4 games for Australia and 10 for NSW.

Has a great kicking game and appears to be a good leader and always gives 100%

Is Braith a player in Ellis mould "NO" only Gallen or Lewis could be a direct replacement for Ellis

There is no way we can get Gallen or Lewis or convince Ellis to stay so a player like Braith would be a great buy given his experience, kicking game and he is very competitive.

I would sign him up. We really need a quality prop and a fast centre.

At least Anasta has passion about him and will aways have a go and rev the other players up too, get on board asap.

Anasta wants to play 5/8 thats why he wants to leave the roosters its pointless to sign him unless w emove Benji to halfback which has failed many times in the past

Always preferred Anasta as a lock. Great feet and ball skills for a lock. Add to that a quality defender and communicator.
As a 5/8 I think he lacks half a yard.
If we had Anasta at 5/8 and Benji at half we would be weakening two positions.
Benji stays at 5/8, Anasta to 13, Heighno to second row with Blair, and pick-and-stick with Humble or Miller at 7 with Moltzen at 1.
That is an awful lot of football to try and defend and I haven't even mentioned Farah, Lawrnece, Ayshford et al…
With the players we have we need a solid-as-a-rock halfback who can defend and kick us to the other end of the park when required.

No thank you! Much prefer putting money into our juniors with potential and/or YOUNGER players, getting sick of buying washed up older players, gotta start planning for the future considering a lot of our players are reaching late 20's and 30's

Hmm the WT's office at Concord must be using outdated calenders, can someone let them know its 2012 not 2007.

We wont win another premiership paying big $'s to players like Anasta.

We keep hearing we need size and intimidation up front and then I hear there stories.

You all know deep, deep down in your hearts that if we got him Tim would play him in the second row - I absolutely GUARANTEE it!!

Benji would be a great fullback.
