**Tunks, the brainless fossil, is saying Penrith want Ivan Cleary back**. Talkin Sport team saying it’s a possibility. Robertson having a heart attack!!

He’s a brainless fossil for stating the bleeding obvious? Hard marker you are.

You don't sack your Coach a month out from the finals, with the top 4 a distinct possibility, unless there is something seriously wrong.

I'd say the players have revolted, but that's only a guess. If it was for any other reason, it could wait until the off-season.

Jeez its good when the drama is happening somewhere else other than Concord.

Pretty impressive to be able to continue winning games with no confidence in their coach.
My moneys on the board members aligned with Gus

Then why not wait until the off-season like they did with Ivan?

If all the players are behind Griffin, then this would probably kill their season.

On the other hand if the players want him gone, it might save it.

I know its all speculation at this stage, but if he has been sacked over backroom politics, then the whole Panthers board needs to follow him out the door.

Tigers supporters only know to well what happens when the players run the club, good luck with this Penrith.

Their season hardly needed saving up until an hour or so ago… They've been winning and challenging for top 4 as it is....
That's why this is all so baffling

The players are not behind Griffin, I posted about a month ago that the players were after Cameron Ciraldo.

No, I established he was a brainless fossil a long time ago. Have you ever heard him try to construct an argument?

The way you constructed your post, it sounded like you were venting because someone stated something completely obvious. Of course all this would be to try to attract Ivan. He’s conceding its his only hope of retaining Nathan.

Panthers Group CEO Brian Fletcher has released the following statement:

"There has been much speculation and rumours about the club and head coach Anthony Griffin over the last few weeks.

"After discussions with Anthony Griffin it is time to end that speculation. By mutual agreement, the club and Anthony have agreed to part ways, effective immediately.

"Anthony departs the club after much success, having taken the Panthers to the finals in the last two years and leaves the club on track for another finals appearance in 2018.

"We would like to thank Anthony for his service to Panthers and wish him well for the future."

Maybe Gould will try and poach Ivan so father and son will be together !
😱pen_mouth:

One hundred percent that this is Gus's master plan, please don't ask me to name source though. Keeping Ivan at the Tigers will foil Gus's master plan ! We must keep Ivan at Tigers at all costs and not let Gus stop having nightmares for sacking Ivan in the first place !!

Brad Fitler comes to mind , Gould has him under his wing and he is a local guy , my bed it will be him so Gould has some say in everything

Nathan supposedly is making his decision in November. Unless Ivan asks for a release from the final 2 years of his contract with us, and we grant it (which I doubt would happen) I don’t see how it affects us. Gus is scared.
