How serious are you about lifting ?
How many times a week do you go?
What does your routine look like ?
Are you getting the results?

yes demps i go to anytime fitness robina 2-3 nights a week.Sometimes i workout for more than 2 hrs and i start my routine by doing a 5km run in 35 mins then do a 30-60 min weight session with a mix of free weights and hydraulic.the most i can lift is 220kgs on the seated row and im 71 kgs.I ve only been going to the gym regurly for the last few months and i have noticed my arms are getting good shape, especially my triceps and pecs.the hardest part in finding to lose is a little bit of my gut(this time last yr i was 82kgs).I havent got into any protein powders yet and i think i would get better results if i did.there ya go demps lol

not doubting, but this I need to see. That's some serious weight. Hope you got perfect form ha ha!

I ll go to the gym sunday night and film it properly. Its not that hard to lift that much weight on the seated row because you use every muscle in your body including leg drive.

"Lifting", i hate that term, sounds so gym junkie…..."u lift bro" hahaha.

Im currently training a mate to lose 20kg by november, its a lot of fun and a great challenge as he loves a beer. Ive always trained since i stopped playing, changing things up all the time from putting on size to trimming down. But with my knee, i cant run anymore so i have to get creative with my training which is great, but id kill to have a normal knee again.

Second that KS still dealing with my ACL reco and finding out will be limited to passive sports Golf etc After I got news I decided to see a dietician and key is keeping kilojoule count down between 6500 -7500

I've been training since I was 18\. I'm 33 at the moment. I lift weights 3-4 days a week and mix cardio in with it. Weighed 76kg when I was 18, I'm 98kg these days. I've had to change the way I lift weights as I no longer do squats as I've had 2 knee operations in the last 2 years which has come about from years of heavy squats. Rather than lifting max weight I try and go through my weight workouts quicker and at a higher intensity, so no weight workout for me takes longer than 30 minutes with another 30 for cardio.

Mate its the worst. Ive had my ACL done twice (snapped my new graft 2 years after the first reconstruction). I also lost maniscus both times and now have bone on bone with arthritis setting in. Makes things hard sometimes as im only 33 and my kids love playing footy every arvo in the park. Im dead set going to overdose on fish oil lol.

I also train @ Anytime Fitness, love it there… I got the key so I can go whenever and have noticed always a different type of person training at certain hours. I've noticed 10PM+ on a Friday night is when all the beautiful older women go.

I use to do cardio before I hit the weights to get warm and whatnot but I'm off it now. I do an AM/PM split where I do cardio in the morning and leave the nights for lifting. I've been skinny my whole life so getting into lifting I struggled to gain weight, I was plateaued at 75kg and now I'm 85 kg and stacking on the size, getting ripped.

The gut is the hardest in my opinion, you'll have to have the right diet and do a lot of cardio to lose weight if you want abs like Leonidis. Get into the leg raises and crunches also, lol... Protein powders are okay, depending on what works for you. I noticed they assisted more for my recovery not weight gain, for myself. So now I just eat my weetbix and sprinkle some over the top.

U mad bro?
Haha, good luck with that…
However all the big dudes (not fat, buff) at the gym are the ones that are always punchin skewys @ the pub every weekend so I don't know that works. ROIDZZ BRAH.

Gym is a four letter word to me…. every time I think about exercising I lay down until the thought passes

Years ago I used to think protein powders were essential for gaining weight. How wrong I was. These I notice they are good for your recovery and that's about it. As for the 6-pack, well either you keep the carbs down to a minimum, avoid sugar and walk for an hour every day or you'll never see them.

Yessir Willow…
In my educated opinion, I think protein shakes are no where near as important as a good diet is.

Broke my wrist in december. Only been back in the gym for 4 weeks, slowly getting stronger and bigger.

But with the broken wrist I focused on cardio over the summer and lost 8kgs (mostly baby fat). Now I'm aiming to be one lean mother^^%^&*#%#% and I'm not too keen on getting huge. Lean and mean is the scene.

I work out in a private shed with three mates…used to go to the gym but got fed up with the douchebag posers. I work for strength not size.
Always laugh at the young blokes who are bursting with muscles but are weak...
