That's a demanding job mate ! You must enjoy it ?

It has it moments , helps that I seem to be OK at it would be the best answer I guess

One thing I have learnt , don't tell the customers you see in Tigers /WT's garb you are a WT's supporter

I've had a couple of real nutters 😱pen_mouth:

And they seemed so normal until they opened their mouths

My job has it's moments but I find painting relaxing !
Did a paint job last month , then second day I found out the customer was a mad Dragons supporter , I told him if I knew that when I quoted I would've charged more lol .
He said if I knew you were a Wests Tigers supporter you wouldn't have got the job lol . When I quote a job is quite easy to work out who you can have a bit of banter with !!!
And who will be awkward or a plain stiff !

Yeah I had my time painting for a little while I used to work for Brisbane Forest Park as a cleaning contractor many years ago and also did some work actually building the restaurant at the park headquarters

If I ever see gum leaf green or scrub gum green again I will beat myself senseless :brick:

Mate I completely understand !
Every interior colour scheme has now been the same for at least 8 years or so ….
Dulux ' hog bristle ' or friggin 'Antique white USA '

Cant wait for 'mission brown' to make a come back ! ... Still got plenty in the shed :lol :

My family is spliting up for the holidays. After Xmas my better half and the kids are going camping ( roughing it ) while 2 of my besties and i are going trecking in the Himalayas. We are doing the Annapurna Machapuchare trek. Gets very cold at night this time of year so we need to pack our snow clothes. Looking forward to it. Can't wait.

That sounds awesome Tigermama ,i'm bloody jealous. Like hobbo says plenty of pics and stay safe

Like any one of us on this forum  what sort of food do you serve at your restaurant Happy?

Happy Meals …..der

Not when the WT's lose their not

Gladstone's not a big town Tigermama Probably rather keep that off the Forum if that's OK

But if you and your better half are ever up this way , send me a PM and I'll shout you some big macs or a fillet's o fish

Going to a fishing resort/camp with the family and two mates and their families. Tides will be rubbish but we might get some trolling in for pelagics and maybe some fishing off the beach for barra, queenies or salmon. Christmas lunch is laid on and we're planning a seafood dinner for later. Otherwise good food & drinks with mates and some beach cricket if the weather allows or just watch the storms roll by from the verandah.

Top staff NT , I'm getting a bit jealous of the things that some of you are doing :frowning: , my holidays will be boring compared to you guys  , only joking i will have a ball with the kids and Family , as long as no alarm to wake up to that is a holiday in itself  .

Hey Hobbo

Save some of the mission brown for when we purchase Bonnie Doon as the WTF clubhouse , bar and grill

With the amount of poo we all talk , that colour will be perfect to hide the stains

 , that's funny hobbo  , i was in the Building game for 14 years until i moved up North and had a Career change . I'm a Stonemason and Tiler by Trade and used to fix Terrazzo Partitions , Staircases , tiles in all Westfields , Olympic venues , was going interstate and all over the Country all the time for long stints and you get Jack of it , was good job and would of been still with the same Company if still in Sydney .
, but chose lifestyle over money .

Stonemasons are on massive coin these days !
I enjoy a bit of tiling as well but you have to think a lot more than doing painting ! On average it takes me about 15 mins to get to work and early finishes allow me to pick up the kids for sport .
The only thing that pisses me off when painting is all of the other trades ! ( mainly the wood butchers).
Thank god for ' no more gaps ' !!!!!

I can't believe you gave up Fairfield mate !! Lol

_Posted using RoarFEED 4.1.4_

yeah we used to get annoyed with the plumbers , they used to try and install the toilets in between the Terrazzo partitions while we were trying to install the partitions and one of those partitions weighs about 300 kilos on average .
Fairfield is a dump , you need to learn how to fight quick growing up in these areas there are a lot of wanna be gangsters wanting to start crap , i dread when we have to go there and visit Family.

I grew up in a council estate in the UK , Fairfields's a picnic lol .

LOL. Thanks Hobbo. All three of us in anticipation of our upcoming trip, have been working on our fitness for a while now. One of my friends is a keen amatuer photographer, so no doubt there will be lots of pics. By the way, your holiday sounds awsome too!

Tigermama, what an excellent way to spend Christmas.

Thanks NT. Looking forward to it. Especially since I haven't had the Xmas holidays off, for quite some time now. Love the way you and your family are going to spend your Xmas break too. Enjoy!

Yeah, 'forever', we usually stay home with family but decided to do something different this year. It's really nothing flash, camping but with a roof over our head and a pub nearby. It's a good chance to get out of town and give the girls a break.
Cheers, have a good break and a Merry Christmas.

This will be my baby girl's first Christmas. She'll only be just over 3 months old so the mrs & I will probably be more excited than her but just looking forward to making some family memories.

Oh & hopefully there'll be a new Tigers jersey in the stocking for me!

Congrats mate !
It'll only get more exciting for her as she gets older .
My kids asked for cash this year ( cheeky buggers).
They soon lose their innocence !
